Low-quality construction and weak shelves
disappointedDad.7 years agoMy wife and I purchased this as part of the set for our son's nursery. The piece looks great, but the particle board construction is underwhelming. The shelves are extremely flimsy, and bowed more than 1" with only toys on them. The shelves bowed so severely items were sliding towards the middle. Fortunately, we are quite handy and reinforced the shelves in a non-visible way, but I certainly didnt think I would have to spend a Saturday reinforcing a $480 piece of furniture. Disappointed.

I love love love this crib! 6 years ago (2016) I purchased this crib and the toddler rail. My son used it from crib to toddler bed then we had another baby. We transitioned it backed to the crib. Once my sons decided to sleep together we called BBB last year (2021) and purchased the rails for the full bed. We are so excited with this convertible bed system and are converting it back to a crib for our 3rd child. 6 years and 2 kids (so far) and this system is still beautiful and holding together perfectly.
Gorgeous!
I love this furniture collection we got in cashew. We did have to wait 6 weeks for it to be delivered and the first time our dresser was damaged, so we had to wait 6 more weeks! But overall I love the color and the durability of the furniture, I’m hoping it will be the furniture we use until my son is close to teenage years.
Minor Complaints
Gorgeous- my main complaints are that the shelves are too flimsy to classify this as a bookcase- which would lead you to believe you could fill with books. Which brings me to my second complaint- they didn’t stain the strips on the back where the shelves go so when it bows from the weight it shows. I’m still happy with the piece and think it will look great on top of the dresser when my son is older!
Cheap Construction
The shelves have already bowed downward despite the fact that there are only stuffed animals and a few board books on them. I bought this with the thought that my son could use it into his teenage years, but if it can’t handle stuffed animals and children’s books...
Nice but be careful
Nice looking piece but be careful what you put on the shelves. There's no support in the middle, so heavy books or other items will warp/bend the shelf.
Great Furniture
I bought this set in cashew for my son and love it. The color is beautiful. The quality is great. The furniture is solid. The color and style is something he can grow into as he gets older. Very happy with this product! I'm buying another set by Westwood for my 2nd son who is on the way.
Paint chips very easily
I bought this very expensive furniture set for my son's bedroom and only a couple of months after using it the paint started chipping on the dresser drawer that we use as the changing table. I tried calling Buy Buy Baby and they attempted to contact Westwood design but they could not help me. So i attempted to contact westwood design myself and they were very hard to get ahold of and when i finally reached someone all they did was send me a paint marker which did not even match the color of the dresser drawer. I really regret buying this furniture especially since it was so expensive and the customer service for buy buy baby and westwood design was terrible.

Decent
We just purchased this set for our baby boy that will be here in two months. Its seems to be well made, the only issue we had was the dressers come fully put together and not well packaged, so we received one dresser that was cracked and nicked and had to order a new one; that one also came scratched and nicked, but buybuybaby offered a store credit and some touch up paint, which we accepted. Just know you most likely will be exchanging forever if you aren't ok with some inperfections.
Well Made and Easy to Put Together!
This set is amazing. Not only is it really well made and will last for YEARS, it was incredibly simple to put together. The color is a little more gray than appears in the pictures (which I really like). It is sort of a cool-brown color. I was truly impressed by the quality of it and can't wait for my son to have it throughout the years! Very classic!
Color is NOT Accurate
I purchased the crib and dresser for my son's nursery. The delivery process was great (paid for the delivers to assemble) and the quality of the products is outstanding. HOWEVER, the actual color does NOT match what is shown online. Not even close! The actual color is dark blue/gray and as you can see, the pictures online are more brown/gray. VERY MISLEADING and very disappointing as a buyer. I would not recommend purchasing this set if you had a specific color scheme in mind for your nursery (as I did).
Great Set!
We have had this set for our daughter for over a year and a half and love it. It not only looks beautiful in her nursery, it has been durable and withstood a move! We have it with a pink and gold nursery but i am sure it looks great with navy blue!

Love this set!
We are so pleased with our Hanley Nursery Set! We got it home and it was packaged so tightly, it was sturdy and well made. Well worth the investment. I also want to mention that my husband and I fought over which brand to go with, until I began opening the dresser drawers at BuyBuyBaby. I was so disappointed by the quality of others until we found the Hanley. The drawers pull out smoothly and don’t fell like they’re going to fall apart. This set will easily be passed down to our next child, if our current baby decides not to keep it as her own ;)
