Ubbi® Diaper Pail in Light Grey

This garbage can holds in the smell and without special bags. I think this is one of my top recommendations. The lock is great now that my son is becoming curious. When you do open this thing the smell could knock you out. I mean at the end of the day, it is holding bodily waste. What else can you expect?

Hinge broke after 6 months company didn’t honor their 3 year warranty. Don’t waste your time and money.

I really like the design of this garbage pail for diapers. It allows you to close it fully to keep the smell out of the room. It's also nice that it's made of metal so you can clean it easily. However, every time the bag needs to be changed, I struggle to pull it out of the canister. It gets suctioned inside and needs considerable force to be pulled out. Not sure how to release that pressure to make changing the bag easier.

I was gifted a diaper genie for my son and used it with him, and didn’t know any better. But with my daughter I started being bothered by having to buy those liners for inside, they are expensive and honestly always ended up being wasteful. Plus I found they were ripping easily and I would find little blue pieces of plastic from the liner on the ground after I’d change the bag which I worried was a choking hazard. I did my research and decided it was more economical to buy the Ubbi diaper pail than to keep buying those annoying liners. I have only been using the Ubbi for one week so far but I’m in love. It keeps the smell in much better (I think because it’s steel). It’s smaller and cuter looking (I bought the grey wood and it matches my daughter’s furniture so nicely). Plus the bags seem to hold much more diapers and are so much easier to change. I was worried that it might be too short for me (I’m 5’9) but it’s not at all, it’s easy to open the lid and put the diaper and wipes in with one hand while keeping one hand safely on my daughter. I wish I had this from the beginning but thankful I made the switch now while my daughter is still little. To summarize buy this diaper pail!

We use these diaper pails and they really keep the smell contained. They fill pretty quickly. I can also used regular garbage bags in it and do not need to get special ones which I appreciate. we have 2 in different rooms. The lid is a bit hard to open and it doesn't slide open that smoothly but overall I would recommend them. We have the chevron and the marble one and they have a nice look as well. Functional and look good too.

I would not recommend. This pail stinks up the room even when closed. I let it air out outside, the smell goes away, but once a dirty diaper goes in it, the room smells again.

This can does not retain smell. I change bags often. I even tried to put the baking soda scent pods in the bottom. I usually put dirty diapers in a scented bag and it still doesn’t help. The room is fumigated with a horrible stench every time you open the can. It will knock you down. I am definitely not happy with this product. Also the plastic bag holder is flimsy. Ours broke.
