If you want to keep your kids safe, think twice…maybe three times about purchasing this bed set. I purchased this bunk bed in September 2021 from Nebraska Furniture for my granddaughters (2 and 5 years old) for when they stay over so the bed set was rarely used. However, just recently, I noticed a large wood crack/split in the upper headboard and another smaller one; also, small wood cracks/splits in the lower headboard (parts 06 and 07). I have a warranty on the bed but because it has only been 6 months since I purchased, the warranty said it’s still covered by the manufacturer (Donco Trading). So, I contacted Donco – completed the paperwork and provided pictures to them. It took a great deal of time and effort to have this bed assembled and its very heavy. I asked Donco Trading if they would provide or reimburse me to have the bed disassembled and reassemble with the replacement parts, but they said they don't provide this service. On yesterday I received both parts (06 and 07) and took them out the box today and both replacement parts had cracks/splits and scratches in the wood and open chipped wood on the frame of the upper window that if a child rubbed their fingers across the chipped wood, they could get a splinter. Additionally, there are pink pain spots on the inner side of both parts. I emailed the manufacturer today with pictures of the defected replacement parts but have not heard back at this point. Having paid nearly $1000 for this bed set, I’d expected long wear and durability – but just the opposite. I have advised the manufacturer to recall this bed set as it could cause injury and hazardous based on my experience. It’s unfortunate because my granddaughters really enjoyed this bed set.

My kids love this bed they are eight and six years old, it’s one of the best purchases we’ve ever made for them.
