The spectra pump is great - quiet, lightweight, closed system so it’s easy to clean (no nasty residue in the tubing). Love the timer on the pump and the light if you’re pumping in the middle of the night. The suction feels almost natural. If you buy an adapter, it’s compatible with medela Pisa bottles/connectors, and the medela Pisa car and battery adapter fits the power input. (So all of my old medela accessories are not going to waste by switching pump brands).
This did not collect more milk than the Elvie that I purchased. Clunky and leaving me stuck to the machine. Pretty bummed as I heard great things .

I got this pump when I had my first baby. I used for one year and, after I was done pumping for her, I put it away. I had a baby this year again, and got my Spectra to pump for him, and was surprised to see my pump was not working as it should. I was getting very little milk while pumping with it. It got to a point where I was getting no milk while pumping with the Spectra, and getting milk while pumping with a manual pump. I contacted customer service and they didn’t do anything because Spectra only offer a 2 year warranty. My pump is older than that, but was only used for one year before it broke. There wasn’t even an offer to fix it. So, I do not recommend. Especially if you are exclusively pumping, because this pump won’t last you long.
This pump worked great when I first got it, but not only a month into owning it the suction stopped working. I did not want to spend the money to buy another pump so I messed with it and was only able to pump one breast at a time in order to get any suction. Now only three months after buying, this pump is completely broken. Do not buy, I know it is affordable and highly rated but trust me this is a waste of money. Invest in a medela pump!
Switched from medela and love it. The suction is really and not so noisy.
I really like that this pump has a handle, no many do. It’s so hard to sit in one place while you pump after having a baby. Sometimes it’s nice to sit and relax but other times it’s inconvenient. I have two older children so I am definitely always on the move.

I was able to get mine free through insurance, I did have to purchase new flange sizes because the 2 sizes they sent with were too big. Over all its a good product! I wish the starter kit came with a measuring tool to help figure out correct flange size if the sizes sent aren't the correct size for the person using it.

As a mother who has exclusively pumped and one who is currently breastfeeding and pumping, this is by far my favorite pump. I have tried many others, including the expensive wearable ones, and this one remains my favorite. It is effective at removing milk, it’s gentle, it’s quiet and the night light is a life saver.

I’ve used this breast pump all of my 7months so far and I love it. I’ve got to try a few different brands on the market but this one is the only one I like to use. It empties me better than any others, and with the different setting and speeds you can customize the experience for you to make it the most comfortable pumping.
