Spectra® CaraCups Wearable 24mm Milk Collection Hands Free Inserts

I want to start this review off by saying do your own research. Collection cups of any brand are not recommended for more than 1-2 pumps per day since any collection cup will not completely empty you. However, these are great if you’re looking for something that provides you a little more privacy. I may not get as much output as the regular spectra attachments, but these work well for their purpose. As for leaking, I haven’t had a problem yet.

I’ve tried 3 breast pumps and the Spectra S1 works like a dream. I loved the idea of having the flexibility to be “hands free” and my spouse bought me the CaraCups to try. They worked okay the first time and then didn’t work at all the second. I couldn’t get any suction even with turning the pump wayyy up and this is a powerful pump. They have a ton of pieces to wash, they’re annoying to try to set to dry on a bottle drying rack, and I had a hard time getting them open without spilling milk to pour the milk out. As a fairly small-chested person, I also didn’t think they worked well in my bra because they’re SO big and worried about them stretching my nursing bras out even with adjusting the straps. Great concept, execution leaves some things to be desired.

I’ve waited a while to write this review to give these cups a chance. After 3 uses they stop working. One of the cups stop suction milk. I’ve tried everything to get them to work. Now I’m out of 70.00 for these useless cups.

Took a while to find the best alignment for the cup itself. The cup itself is huge and I didn’t need to pump that much. But it’s much cheaper to buy a set of Caracup than Elvie cups or freemie cups because it was on sale so I just live with it.

I was so excited for this product hands free pumping. I have tried it a few times and the suction is so terrible I barely get any milk out. Such a waste of time and money.

Had no issues with the cups, but the valves needed to be replaced after two uses! The replacement valves are $13 for a pair which is a huge rip off. I’m going back to using my regular pump pieces.

Lots of parts otherwise these would have been 5 stars. Love the ability to discreetly pump while out or even just conversing with friends/fam. Makes pumping much less isolating. And are great with a portable pump in the car.

Doesn’t have enough suction n too many pieces to wash each time
