smarTrike™ STR7 J Folding Stroller Trike

The packaging was damaged and the packing tapes mostly were broken. Checked the stroller trike itself is okay.

My great nephew enjoys his trike. It is easy to push and store. Very well made. We look forward to using it for years to come.

We took our smarttrike on a trip, folding and unfolding was time consuming but relatively easy with the manual. The quality of materials used is lacking greatly, one trip in whilst being careful the fabric of the sun cover already ripped only from being in a folded state... Our daughter has been in it twice so far so you can imagine our disappointment. We regret our purchase.

Overall, I love how light and easy the trike is during my walks. My toddler loves it and has even taken a nap each time we’ve gone for a stroll. The only thing I would change is the button to adjust the handle. Other than that, it’s wonderful and I can’t wait to grow into it. I have a 1.5 year old.

I have this for some time now but only used it twice with my one-year-old boy. Unfortunately, I have stopped using it (for now), as it’s very annoying that I have to constantly correct its direction when the front wheel is locked. The handle doesn’t steer the wheel, so you must lift the front to do so. Even my little one did get annoyed with it. Hopefully it will work better when he grows up a bit, but so far, it's been disappointing

We originally ordered the str7, but received the str5. We were worried the bike wouldn't make it on time for Christmas so we asked to get a refund of the difference and customer service helped us out a lot and even replaced the squirel character with a design of our choosing. However when we received the replacement canopy and bag, there was a missing part of the canopy, the zippered piece and we were going to use the blue one from the squirel set, but it wasn't able to be unzipped. The bag is also defective. The velcro straps are placed at opposite ends so the bag doesn't sit right and we had already given away my older daughters str3 with the pink set so we couldn't replace it to make it look nice.

Overall experience was quick shipping and good product, my #1 reason for purchasing was for the swivel seat option that I was under impression the new STR7 model had and found out it didn't after I had purchased. Still keeping it but would love to see that swivel option for when walking outdoors against wind

This version does not face the parent. I didn’t realize I ordered something different than the STR7, but apparently there is a J version. I will be attempting to exchange for the version that rotates to face the parent… other than that a review on the actual product: Super easy to put together and fold back down. Once I get the steps down it will become second nature. It folds up small enough that I would feel comfortable gate checking on a trip, or using at the zoo or Disney. The seat reclines enough for a nap and the canopy has good range. The brake is a basic push down and pull up. The straps are a bit complicated, but not so much so to deter me from purchasing again. I haven’t used it for a walk, or tried out the kid pedal option.
