i bought it and i put it on the refrigerate. my toddler know how to open. WASTE

The lock was simple to install and was immediately a deterrent to my son gaining access to our kitchen cabinets. This was a relief because our son is quite crafty and had bypassed the locks we had on previously. I would recommend this product to anyone with an inquisitive toddler.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These cabinet locks seem very well-made and sturdy. Unfortunately they don't fit on the hardware throughout our home. The knobs on our cabinets are too big in diameter (the diameter of the opening is approx 3/4"). Additionally, the space between the cabinet face and the knob is not big enough for the "hook" part. This piece requires approx 5/8" in order to hook around the second knob. If these locks had fit, I have no doubt they would have worked well for our household. They are sturdy and well-designed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These were a joy to receive as I'm constantly trying to keep my young daughter out of our cabinets on a daily basis. I have used a couple of other brands of cabinet locks in the past with my other children but they didn't really compare to how well made these cabinet locks hold. I really like how easy these are to install with only having to twist off our knobs, put these in place, twist the knobs back on, push the locks together to tighten the locks together and then you're all set! I do feel like these would be a problem for some cabinets, as I feel they might be a problem to fit on some cabinet knobs with the knobs being to big for these latches to fit. I also think it would be nice if they were made in a color other than white, maybe a brown or another color to match the cabinets better. All in all these work wonderful for childproofing and they were at times a little difficult for myself to unlatch. Yes, I would buy these, as I wasn't aware of these particular latches before recently discovering these although, I really like the Safety 1st brand. I would definitely recommend these latches for other parents needing help with childproofing. I received this product for testing and review purposes and all opinions are my own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently had the opportunity to use Safety 1st's (product) for the first time. I have been using Safety 1st products ever since my son was born 4 years ago. However, I this was my first time using the Secure Mount Cabinet Lock. The product serves it's purpose of keeping little hands out of kitchen cupboards. The design allows the lock to be opened and closed without having to remove the entire device (one end stays connected to the cabinet hardware/knob). For the most part, the lock is easy to use, and provides an effective barrier for children. However, if the zip-tie-looking strip is not inserted in a straight horizontal line, the lock has a tendency to jam (preventing the release latch to function) - When this happens, it requires some strength to open the lock. Also, due to the design, this lock is probably not compatible with some types of cabinet hardware. A major benefit of this product is that it does not use adhesive to install/secure to cabinet. Therefore, unlike previous cabinet locks I've used, it will not weaken over time (or as your child grows stronger). Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone seeking an effective way to secure cabinets with standard, round door-pulls/knobs. I bought them for my cabinets with cleaner and things that need to stay out of reach of little ones. They are easy to remove when needed but are strong enough to stay put when being pulled on by curious ones!
