These gates do the trick! They hold well despite my toddler fiddling with the mechanism as he sees us do it. It's been useful to be able to set the gate to open either way or just one way. My husband did the install and it wasn't too difficult. Definitely recommend this product for your two most frequently-used doorways!

I guess the gates have gotten better over the years, but this was not user friendly in my opinion to install. It actually takes a few times to get used to opening and closing as well. To open, you must push a button forward and push up at the same time. Closing, you just shut it! Now that it is installed and I know how to use it, I'm glad we have one. It keeps the dogs out of certain areas and the kids in. Love that! My hands can be full, and I can still open and shut the gate with one hand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recurrence this gate as a free sample from BzzAgent. It is a sturdy little gate. We set it up to keep our 2 and 4 year olds in the post room while my wife home schools the two older girls. It was a bit confusing trying to set it up because it felt like the tensioners should have snapped into the gate but the don't. That makes sense now that I have it up because they hold themselves in place against the wall. That gate works well for keeping the boys in. The older girls have no problem operating it. I also like that the gate has tabs that you can flip down to make the gate open only one way. The one issue that I really have with our is that the wall or is on its not perfectly square, so it has to be adjusted every so often.

They are easy for the parents to open and close. My toddler has figured out how to close them by just pulling the gate closed hard. But, cannot get it open again. So that's a good thing! Overall, these gates work extremely well for my family and last a long while.

They work well especially for renters or anyone who doesn't want to screw into the wall for mounting. We have one in a hallway that leads to a bathroom to keep the youngest one out while leaving the door open for air circulation. They pressure mounts work very well and the gate is sturdy. The swing is easy and smooth. My only complaint is the locking mechanism. It's a little tricky to open at times, especially for my older two kids who need to open the gate for the bathrooms. Also be very careful to check measurements. I cannot use the 2nd gate we received because it is one inch too big for all of our doorways. It was also an inch too short for our hallway opening so my husband put a 2x4 on the wall. To close the opening.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the idea of this gate, but no matter how hard I tried, I could not get this gate to lock. I tightened it as far as it would go, so much so that it started to dent my wall. And it still wouldn't lock! But let's go back to the beginning. I knew I needed to add one extender due to the opening of my hallway. It was exceptionally hard to pull the plugs out, even with the suggestion on the instructions. Then they were so loose once they came out but they kept falling out when I tried to put it up. Now, perhaps it's the difference between the molding and the wall and that's why it's not wanting to secure itself. But generally speaking when you use a baby gate it's going to be where there is baseboards on the bottom and wall on the top connectors. So it should be able to account for that. Definitely would not recommend.
