Safety 1st® 4-Pack Adhesive Cabinet and Drawer Latches

In theory, these are fantastic! And it was super easy to install (I used the adhesive). But because of the way it’s designed, it prevents the drawer or cabinet door from closing all the way!! It wouldn’t have made a difference if I had used the screws either. Who thought this was a good idea?! I returned the packages I hadn’t opened, but got stuck with the one I had & wish I could get my money back! Ended up finding something on Amazon that actually worked & got more of them for less money.

This a easy to install product , very effective , although I think the screw could be more for a wood application , a split point would do a better job to make this install easier ( no need to pilot drill )

Flimsy, broke after first use.

Safety 1st products, specifically the magnetic locks, have always been amazing! However, when we moved I had to buy some of these because the others did not fit. The install was easy, but I've had 4 of 8 already snap off and break. Cheap quality plastic and only lasted 2 weeks

We installed these on all the drawers that needed locked. Two have failed with the adhesive and the whole latch part dropped off. On at least 4/10 the latch arm itself has snapped, sometimes within a week of installation. I need a solution to get this foam adhesive off the cabinet so I can now install a different kind of lock. This is a nightmare...

I bought two packages of these and every single one has broken. I have had them installed for only a few months. Even the ones that I had in cabinets that aren't used daily have broken.

I tried this latch on 4 different drawers and couldn’t get it to work. It cannot be used on flush drawers or ones with a cabinet/drawer front because of the lip on it or it’s too big, It seems like a great idea, but the execution is terrible. The magnetic ones by this brand are great but bulky and require the key.

So I'd give this 5 stars in terms of installation... BEST installation design I've seen yet, however the latch is WAYYY too short. If you have countertops that stick out further than your counters, you can forget about using these, it's impossible to push the latch open. I'm glad I only bought 1 pack because it's useless. Even for our pantry doors it's a bit of a challenge. Latch needs to be made in different sizes. I'd say 1/4" longer for pantry doors and at least 1" longer for cabinet drawers.
