Safety 1ˢᵗ® Grand 2-in-1 Booster Car Seat in Black

We purchased 3 of these and removed the cupholders to use the 3-wide feature for our children in our 2012 Town n Country Minivan. Unfortunately the 3 carseats do NOT fit side by side, there is a 2-3 inch overlap that prevents them from fitting so we could not use them. Our car has captain chairs in the middle so we must use the back row which is more narrow than the middle row. The car seat itself was very light, sturdy, straight, and nice coral color. The padding was minimal but adequate and our children did like the look of the seat.

After 16 days of waiting I was emailed that the car seat I ordered is unavailable. I had the product order replacement done twice and now I am finally told it’s not available.

We wanted a high back booster with a harness, so it was between this one and Graco Tranzitions. We already have 1 Graco tranzitions for our 1 car, so figured we’d try this one since it was half the cost. This one is definitely more cheaply made than graco, and I def prefer the Graco one- graco seems more comfortable and better made, and just as slim. However, safety 1st one is way lighter (I believe it’s 12lbs vs Graco-20lbs). This one is great for the price for shorter car trips under an hour I’d say, but for longer drives, we would def be using the Graco one. All in all, for the price it’s a good deal- slim fit, easy to get in and out of car, we plan on traveling with this one bc it’s lightweight (and god forbid anything happen to it on the airline it isn’t super expensive). The downside is that it doesn’t go to a backless booster like Graco does, but those are cheap to buy once you need to transition to that. Also the headrest doesn’t adjust like Graco does, but not a super big deal for half the cost.

This is the worst car seat! Completely unsafe! This car seat moves all over the place even after making the belts the tightest they can go. Don’t waste your money or time on this one.

I really like the quality of this car seat. The cup holders are awesome holding a drink in one and a snack in the other. My grandson is very comfortable and can rest his head when he is tired. I wish this chair sat a little higher on the seat, because he can’t see out the window as well as in his previous seat. Otherwise it’s perfect!

The straps are the main issue. In order to be secure enough they feel tight because there's no cushion, the straps are harder than other car seats we've had.

This car seat is so light weight and comfy. I had no problem installing in on my own. I was able to fit it comfortably between two other car seats. Perfect for my three year old.
