The plastic flaps came off as the glue gave out after two months. This was a gift on our registry. This is completely unacceptable. Find a different product.
At 6 months of use the glue let go that secures the gray rubber flaps to the lid. I have glued it 5 times, even tried 2 part epoxy for plastic and nothing held. Very poor design. I wouldn't waste your money on this product. But a diaper genie because you will be buying one anyways.

Lasted less than 7 months. The lid no longer seals because the rubber flap stays pushed down. On the hunt for another one.

Pale was good for 2 months, although overpowering stink came out Everytime we opened the lid but contained within after. After 2 months we had to discard the bag everyday because of the stink. Slowly stink seeped into the pale itself, washed, used extra charcoal bags, febreeze, aired it out, baking soda, nothing helped, until the locking system of the lid broke and now we have a stinky broken pale after using it for exactly 9 months. Another search for a better pale now.

Was loving this pail until the grey piece that keeps the odours in, broke, making it useless. It is only cheaply glued onto the rest of the pail, which is strange, given that you have to force diapers through it every single time you use it. Would not purchase again.

I liked this pail for the most part, definitely not flawless. However, the grey rubber part that is supposed to keep the smell in has detached from the pail and stinks now. So disappointed. Less than 4 months of use.

Loved the sleek look of this, but this quality is bad! To start, we had to return our first one since the lid did not work properly (it wouldn’t open). Then, we were using our second one for about a month and really loved it, until the grey piece broke off. This piece is in here to help keep out the stink of the diapers, right? Well don’t worry, with about a month of use this piece came off, losing the whole point of the barrel. It’s now no different than any other barrel. I find this very frustrating, after purchasing the specified bags and filters needed for this product. If you don’t care about it working past a month, get it. If not, try for something better.
