I have had my Diaper Genie Complete for a few months now. I love how easy it is to use and there's no dirty diaper stink in my nursery -- at all! It's a definite for our nursery! * I was provided a sample at no cost to facilitate a review however all opinions are my own.*

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just don't understand the hype behind diaper genie... It is the only product I have regretted buying with my baby and it keeps eating my money. I wish I hadn't thrown the box away (I was so sure I would love the product that I threw it away, what a fail) or I would have returned this money eating thing long back. I had another one with my son which uses regular trash bags and holds a lot of diaper, this one hardly holds 10? I have two under two... If I had to empty the trash every day I would have used a regular trash can with lid. What is the purpose of a diaper pail? To hold in smell? My old one did great with that. Cons: This hardly holds few diapers, have to empty almost every day. Requires expensive trash bags, at first I thought that would be every few months but nope.. Every two weeks! Sophisticated mechanism to empty the trash bag and install refill. Seriously, who has the time and effort? Maybe with just one kid, but with few kids climbing all over you and the house, this was a nightmare. I wish Playtex would make products that are easier on us moms. I don't mind paying extra of its worth it but this is just a horrible thing. Granted it "looks" good in the nursery. But that's about it. Look around people, there are better diaper pails out there!

It is convenient but the top had to be repaired a few times when we first got it. Had to speak with diaper genies hotline to fix it and get directions emailed. Not easy to fix when you have a newborn!

I got the genie complete for my baby shower and it doesn't work. I put my foot panel and it doesn't open then I have to take it apart and put it back together weekly. Poor design

It doesn't do anything it's supposed to do. Our child's room smells awful, no matter what we try. It does not contain the smell. It is impossible to tear off the bags once they are full. The old ones were so much better.

I got a diaper genie for my baby shower. Within a week of using it, it has broken. It doesn’t close all the way. When you step on the step the things inside only one side opens to put the diapers in. The lid stays open all the time now. I’m very disappointed in the quality and they are not cheap!

My MIL told me not to get one, that I would hate it and I got sort of offended and I wanted it so I got it. It’s trash. It breaks all the time. The top pops off. I can’t even get it back together at this point. Biggest waste of money ever. I’ll scream it from the rooftops. NEW MOMS DONT BUY THIS!!!! Get a trash van with a lid, this thing sucks.
