Philips Avent Natural 4 oz. Bottle in Clear

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a Philips Avent Natural Baby Bottle through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. When I received this product I had a one month old baby. My baby was able to latch to this bottle with fair ease. He has a lip tie and a tongue tie and this was the easiest bottle for him to take. The bottle and nipple has a wide neck making it similar to the breast, as we are both breastfeeding and using a bottle. The bottle is easy to take apart, clean, and put back together. It has four parts, the cup, nipple, collar which holds the nipple in place, and a cover to keep the nipple clean when the bottle is not being used. The parts are all plastic, BPA free, and dishwasher safe. This bottle does not leak and has a tight seal. This bottle has two indents, one on each side which makes it easy to grip the bottle. It also has measurements in fluid ounces and ml-cc where you can measure how much breastmilk or formula you are giving. This is especially a great option when you have to keep track of how much intake and output the baby is getting, when they are sick. This bottle has the option to increase the nipple flow sizes, which is nice as the baby gets older so they won’t have to work as hard to get the milk. Babies that have lip and tongue ties have a hard time expressing milk, so having the option to change the flow is a great feature. My baby has gas and colic, but I haven’t noticed a big difference with the anti colic valve. Although he has not went an entire day only using the bottle and not breastfeeding, so that may be a different answer if he did only use the bottle. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We went through several different bottles to accommodate our baby who is both bottle fed and breastfed. This was the only one that’s worked for him. I like that there are different nipples with flow options as well. The different “level” options have help him adjust to the bottle and can go up or down a “level” according to when he’s feeding if he needs more flow or less like when he’s asleep or awake. Overall finding these bottles was a life saver and will be sticking with them

I was exclusively breast feeding, so did not use this every day, but in a pinch when needing a bottle, this was great to use in the beginning. After about 2 months, however, my little one was needing more than the 4 ounces, so we had to start using other bottles with larger ounces. The bottle was very easy to hold on to for me and my little one picked up right away and did not have any trouble drinking even though he was used to breastfeeding. The bottle is very easy to clean and dishwasher safe which is nice. There were also not a lot of spills when using this product which is something I've had issues with in other bottles.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was worried my 6 week old baby wouldn’t take a bottle when I went back to work because she’s been exclusively breastfed until now, but she had zero issues using this bottle and nipple the very first time. The No drip tip is truly no drip! Not even a little wasted. My baby still has to work to get her milk, just like from the breast, and that probably helps with the transition! She’s very particular about pacifier nipples but took this bottle no problem! I received this product as part of the stellar product testing panel.

These bottles have been working pretty good with our 3 month old. He still seems to like and drink better from Dr Browns bottles, but doesn’t mind much switching between the models and brands. Cleaning these is super easy and twisting on the cap just take a short turn, not a lot of continual twisting. I’d recommend these as a good option for new parents

I love the wide size of both the bottle and the nipple, and the ergonomic design of the bottle makes for a comfortable feeding for both parties :) This nipple is wonderful for babies like my newborn who go back and forth between breast and bottle. The wide nipple helps with nipple confusion as it closely mimics the breast, as well as limits the amount of milk seepage out the sides of baby’s mouth, which the no drip tip also helps eliminate. The bottle/nipple is super easy to clean thanks to the girth and fairly basic design. Overall the perfect bottle for any baby!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 8 week old is 90% breastfed, with the other 10% feedings are with bottle. It is important to me that baby takes to the bottle so I know he is eating while I am away. He took to the Avent bottle right away. An added bonus is that is fits perfectly on my breast pump making it efficient from pump to feeding time The shape was very easy to hold and with slight curve in the bottle I feel like it will be easy for him to hold when he gets older and more independent. The smaller size fits the 2 to 4oz portions of breast milk that I feed him at a time. The measurements are labeled on the size so I know how much baby is actually getting. The sleek gray labeling is very minimal, but I am curious how it will hold up after repeated using and washing. Easy cleaning without having to buy a bunch of specialty cleaning brushes is important. There are only 3 parts to clean: the bottle, ring and nipple. The lid would be a fourth part if you are traveling with it. The noticeable con for me as a breastfeeding and bottle-feeding part was that the size 3 nipple had a very fast flow for my infant. It is usually recommended to have a slower flow for a breastfed baby to mimic the amount of time it takes to nurse. The nice thing however is that there are various nipple sizes that are in store locally to choose from so I will be trying the size 1 and 2 nipple to see if those are a better flow for him. The shape itself allowed my baby to “latch” on the bottle like he would at the breast. This product was received through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and will continue to be used with a smaller nipple size.
