Philips Avent 2-Pack 0M Nipple Flow 1 Natural Response Nipples

She got frustrated with the nipples and was not able to successfully feed from this nipples at all. Easy to clean, but wouldn’t recommend these for a newborn! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this Philips Avent Natural Response Nipple set to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The overall design of the nipple & bottle system was comfortable, nice to hold, and easy to wash. Assembly was intuitive and simple. We tried out the level 1 & level 2 nipple flow with our 2 month old daughter who is exclusively breastfed. She was able to initially latch on quickly, but maintaining a latch for her was difficult. This is possibly due to the shallow base and very firm feel of the nipple, which is much different than the breast. The level 1 nipple was very slow in its flow, making it a struggle for our baby to successfully take down a decent volume of milk. However, the level 2 flow seemed to be a little too fast for our daughter. Once she latched, which was intermittent and seemed to require lots of effort, the milk came too fast, causing her to cough frequently. The wide base of the nipple is a good idea, but it would work better for a breast fed baby if the base of the nipple wasn't so shallow and was softer, which would allow for the nipple to fill her mouth more and allow to use compression in addition to suction when drinking.

I opened the package and washed them before she was born - the shape and softness seemed promising. Fingers crossed… this was the first nipple we tried with her at home and *ta da!* magical. No issues at all! She took right too it. The flow seemed perfect for newborn needs. * bonus* It felt easy to clean too (but maybe that’s because I’m only a week into these shenanigans) I received these bottle parts as a part of the Stellar product testing panel.

The no-drip tip makes pausing during feedings much less messy than other popular brands. The variety of nipple flow also helps us figure out the right speed for my little one. Another bonus is that it’s super easy to clean which I really appreciate as a first time mom. I would recommend this product. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a breastfeeding mom, I was very impressed by this bottle and nipple. It seemed to release milk at the exact same speed as my natural flow which made taking the bottle super easy for my newborn. My baby did not require extra burping or have extra spit up which often occurs with other bottle types. The bottle required the same cleaning as other bottles so I wouldn’t rate clean up as any easier than other bottles. I would recommend this bottle to any mom whose baby suffers from reflux, struggles with drinking too fast or primarily breastfeeds and does not want their baby to start to favor bottles. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Philips Avent Natural Response Nipple Flow 1 worked well for my breastfed baby. She does not like bottles, but she did tolerate this one. It seemed that she preferred the flow 1. I like that it doesn't drip so it's easier to pace feed and follow baby's cues. The size and shape are a tad big, but worked alright. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were lucky enough to be gifted these Phillips Avent Natural baby bottles and the natural response nipples by being a Stellar Product Tester, and Lily has been thoroughly enjoying them. The design is simple, which I am a fan of since it makes for easy assembly and cleaning. The nipple’s shape was easy for Lily to be able to control the pace of her feeding, and she finished the whole bottle of 5 oz in record time with no spit up afterwards! Lily is currently a fan of the size 1 nipples, as the size 2 was a bit too fast for her, but I am sure they will be a perfect fit here soon! I am always concerned about how my baby will take to a bottle. Moms know that it can be tricky to find the perfect bottle and nipple for their baby, but Phillips Avent hit the mark with this one!
