Our 10 month old just had a heart transplant, so this sock is of the upmost importance to us. Although it isn't able to be programmed with a child of his condition ,it really gives us a peace of mind being monitored constantly. Since he was in the hospital the first 9 months of his life and when something was off or wrong with his stats we had alarms! Also it keeps findings and history which is something we already had to do everyday upon release from the PICCU so now it's saved in my phone. We just got woke up to a red alarm be and my husband both jumped up to see what was going on it was loud and startling which is awesome because we got so used to alarms in the hospital tuning them out was no problem. His oxygen dropped past 80 .I evaluated him color , listening to rhythm, no fever so I will wait to contact transplant team until morning but man how nice is it to get warnings because with a baby with his condition rejection of the heart is what effects these kids the most and early detection is how we can stop the rejection before to much damage is done. I know your probably wondering why we didn't get released with our own monitors?. It's because he isn't on oxygen he breaths room air and he literally is a 3 million dollar baby they have paid out alot in his short life. I will highly recommend this sock to all my heart mommas and families for a peace of mind they need after being released!
I work as an IT Security Consultant and found a major design flaw with the setup of this camera. While the camera itself is secure, there is a problem with the access of the camera through the app. In order to share access to the camera with anyone you have to give them the e-mail address and password you used to setup the camera. Password sharing is a MAJOR security vulnerability. If Owlet had any sense about the app connected to the camera, they would allow for people to join cameras with their own accounts and then allow parents to remove people (such as babysitters) when they needed to. I've seen less complex devices with that level of password management. Its disappointing that Owlet has not incorporated this in their product.

This product has been awful since we bought it. The camera is extremely slow, the app takes forever to load. The quality is poor. All of a sudden it has stopped working and it's too late to return. Do not buy this!

It’s past 3 am right now and I’ve been wanting to write a review on this product for more parents can avoid buying this! I’ve been having the same problem with this product for less than a year consistently with connecting to the app. I’m read some reviews and they have had the same issues with connecting to the app, but there were also some good reviews so I thought I should take the risk! So not worth it! The app would work before I go to sleep, where I can hear my toddler in the background, but sometime in the middle of the night, it’ll get disconnected! So tonight, he was screaming and crying for who knows how long, but somehow my mommy instincts woke me up and I can hear him from my room, NOT from my app which was not connected! What if this was a newborn! I would have been so livid! There are most days where I can’t even get any sound from it, and I would have to keep on updating the app and reconnecting it. Pairing the app and camera is a process too. It’s the last thing you want to do if your baby is sleeping and you’re doing it next to him/her because it’s noisy and takes over 4 mins sitting in the dark. The other thing is that if you use the feature where you can talk to your child, usually after that, I have a hard time getting the sound back on. I have a very strong WiFi connection, all the time, we pay extra for high speed internet, and never had any issues with other Bluetooth/WiFi products! This product is not cheap either! I’ve never used the sock before, but I can’t imagine if you app can’t do the basics, how would the sock run? Not worth your money, time, and frustration! I would say it has worked 50% of the time correctly for us. I’m so ready for a new device after this!

I’d give 0 stars if that was a choice. The camera is unreliable. Every other day I need to reset the camera because the audio cuts in and out. Purpose of a baby cam is to Monitor the baby but this thing will go out at any minute and you may not hear your kid. Beyond junk! Some days no matter how much you reset it the audio won’t stay constant. Not sure how they can sell such crap but don’t buy this thing. If you’re gifted one I’d return it or throw it out.

I have been dealing with this stupid monitor for 18 months now. Half the time we have to completely shut it down and restart it, or we have to redownload the app. It is SO frustrating that it never works and constantly says “offline”. We are always having to reconnect it. I do not recommend this monitor at all.

The pictures don’t show that this HAS TO be adhered to something. It’s misleading. You have to use adhesive strips to fix it to the wall or create your own concoction to adhere it to. It’s not a poll and where ever you put it is permanent or it rips off paint. Get something else, this one is not worth it.

Selecting a baby monitor as a new mom is a BIG deal. I was really hopefully with the Owlet, as it checked a lot of boxes for us. I liked being able to have the monitor on my phone to check in on my baby. We didn’t have many issues at first as my son slept in our room with us so we didn’t need to use the monitor much. Once he transitioned to his bedroom, we started realizing there were tons of technology and connection problems. Many times the camera would be connected and then sudden loose connection. I would wake up to find that the background sound feature on my phone wasn’t working and my baby screaming in the room next door. The video would glitch or be incredibly delayed. To get the app to connect to the camera I have to turn my phone completely off then back on, reload the app, and sometimes that doesn’t work so I just Have to wait it out until it decides to work. It’s unreliable and I would not recommend this to any new moms.

We've been using the Owlet Cam for 7 months and it's totally unreliable. We ended up having to buy a different monitor because the audio and video cut out constantly (even with a good wifi connection). There were times our baby was crying during the night but we didn't know because the Owlet audio had cut out - that is a safety hazard! We've accidentally woken our sleeping baby trying to sneak into her room to fix the Owlet Cam when audio and video won't load for several minutes, which is heartbreaking for exhausted parents. Choose a different monitor!

The quality on the camera feed is decent with a couple seconds of lag. Small issues with being able to manually track our son's sleep schedule and connectivity issues while using the built in microphone. Other then that, pretty decent camera
