Owlet Cam 2 Smart HD Video Baby Monitor in White

If this camera monitor stayed connected 10% of the time I try to use it it be a miracle. You’d think for a device you spent 100+ on would be better than a vetch device and you’d be wrong it’s constantly disconnected from the Wi-Fi and the reconnection process is long not overly easy. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!

I bought this in my 3rd trimester with our 4th child. We had the cam 1 and the cam 2 is definitely an upgrade! The picture is amazing, the sound quality is a huge improvement and the set up is easy! Connection with the app is a breeze!

I bought the sock & camera when my daughter was born about 2 months ago. I just needed the peace of mind when she slept & also helped me by not waking her up every 30 mins to check on her breathing. I got this to make sure that my twins were monitored while I couldn't. As much as I'd love to be awake watching them 24/7 it's obviously not realistic. Having a system in place to help and give me peace of mind has been a lifesaver. I highly recommend this because it works well and the customized alerts are amazing. I can set up to have it alert me to crying, movement, sound, and also the sensitivity level. I can go do laundry or dishes while their napping and still feel like I'm right there. To me it's definitely worth every penny.

We had a power surge this morning, I’ve been trying to re-connect this thing for about 4 hours now with every tip and trick that’s been given to me. Still having ZERO luck. Otherwise, it’s a fine monitor.

Received this cam a few days ago. Within two days the wall plug adapter stopped working. The camera itself takes couple of minutes to load the video feed in the app despite saying it has good WiFi connection. Had to reset the cam already 3 times and redo the set up connecting it to the WiFi network. At one point the button on back of the camera would not work, and had to unplug the device completely to get it to function again

The camera is great, very clear image. But the app you need to use is terrible. There are so many awful reviews for it this past year. Tech support isn’t helpful either because the app needs to be revised It cuts out a lot, the sound works on an off. Overnight my app cuts out and I don’t get notifications. It’s not a wifi, router issue (we’ve done all the troubleshooting).

I have been using Owlet Cam 2 for several months and am quite satisfied with the product. Absolutely love the cry detection function! The sleep time estimation is great and has been on point most of the time. I have been having trouble with starting the sleep timer and delivered my concern. It seems like the team has already fixed the issue! Owlet camera 2 also comes with a set of wall cable covers. This is handy when you have to baby proof your house. Apart from all the good, there are some improvements that can be done. The camera is fixed; if you want to change the angle of the camera, you would have to rotate it manually. Unlike some other cameras out there, which you can control the camera angle with the app. Since I use this for the nursery and focused on the crib, this is not a big issue to me. Apart from the Owlet Cam 2, I own two other baby monitors. You can take camera screenshots within the app and pictures are be saved onto your phone. I found this to be incredibly handy when my baby poses. Perhaps this feature can be considered to be added to the app for Owlet. Lastly, Hopefully the resolution can be improved with future products. I found it a bit hard to a get clear picture when zoomed in. This review reflects my experience with and opinion of this product as an actual customer.
