I bought this rug despite the number of low reviews-here’s why: this is a wool rug. There is a specific way to care for wool rugs and I don’t believe these people complaining are taking proper care of their rug. You aren’t supposed to vacuum the rug a normal way, the rotating bristles will tug at the fibers and shred it. Wool is supposed to shed a bit, and mine has, but it’s not as much as low reviews have described. Wool will actually shed for 4-5 months. And that’s normal. So I am expecting it to. Yes, my black clothes have some wool on it once in a while, yes, I see little tumble weeds on the rug sometimes, but I am happy with the purchase.

This rug is beautiful to look and is soft, however, the shedding is unbearable!! We have vacuumed over and over and followed instructions and it continues to shed insanely. The people who love this rug must have it in a place where no one walks or touches. I would absolutely not recommend this rug to anyone!

I’m wondering if they sent used or returned rug to me. It has several dirty spots and black hair everywhere. Even found a small dead bug. Disappointed that it doesn’t look brand new.
