I've tried a couple different brands. This is THE BEST!!!! It is the only one that hasn't shrunk with multiple washings and easy to get off and on the matress. It's more expensive but well worth it, other brands were a waste of money because they shrunk and I couldn't get them to stay on the matress. I wish I would have bought this one first, it would have saved me money in the end.
Absolutely useless purchase! First night in use, and the mattress is soaked. I would like my money back!

Upon receiving the item it appears of high quality and fits our Naturepedic Crib Mattress like a glove after the first wash. I just pulled it out of the dryer (gentle cycle) after the second wash and it already has a tear in it!!! Very disappointed in the quality for the price point.
I generally like this cover - the fabric is soft (not crinkly or plastic-y) and it fits the mattress well (even after going in the dryer), snug but not too hard to get on. Because it's not a traditional/wipeable "waterproof" surface, it's not as easy to clean and there are some faint stains on it after laundering.

This seems to be well made. I have yet to see if it really is waterproof. I bought the Naturepedic mattress and this is so tight around the edges. I had a really hard time putting it on. Wish it was may be an inch longer. Also, with this cover on, now it's almost impossible to put regular crib sheet on top. The corners of the sheets are sticking up because I can barely get them around the mattress. Is anyone else having the same problem? Do you have any suggestions? Thank you.

I bought this as a grandparent. I didn't want something really thick, but wanted the waterproofing. The material is all cotton. It kind of feels like a thin canvas cover, but not as dry and stiff. The sides have elastic and holds well onto the mattress. I tested the material for waterproofing before I washed it by poring a little bit of water on the material. After washing, I did the same thing. Both times the water just sat on the material. Some liquid did soaked in, but never penetrated all the way through the underside. The only thing that concerns me is the material being able to breath. It doesn't appear to hold heat and there's no plastic/vinyl lining which is good. I do like it being a thin material and not bulky like other mattress protectors.
