I bought this as a gift. The recipient has not yet had her baby. Customer service was AWESOME as product shipped immediately and was delivered as expected.

We previously had the other munchkin pail that wasn’t UV that we liked but too much of the smell would escape and fill our house and both kinds of bags were difficult to remove from the pail. So far we have noticed no smell around the house, very little smell escapes when we put a diaper in, the closure of the cover is easier, and we love using the ring packaged bags because this pail has a cutter built in making it easy to remove. So far very happy with this one!

Unfortunately had to return the device. There were a few things wrong with the design that made it hard to warrant the price even though we were so excited to use it. 1. Can not be used on rugs at all. The balance of the can does not work when trying to step on the pedal. 2. To put a diaper in you have to force it through the bag. Really gross when you are trying to get rid of a really dirty diaper. 3. Every time you open and close it was twisting the bag further closed. After 4 open and closes the bag really could not even be opened. The UV aspect was really cool and what we were super excited about. But with some core functionality issues we had to return it.

It works well and keeps in odors if it works. However, QC with this item is abysmal. My first can I received the lights didn’t work. So I returned this and on my second can the bag cutter was missing. If you’re ok with spending weeks going back and forth with returns you should be happy with the can in the end. If you want something that works out of the box and has decent QC look elsewhere
I just wish this trash can automatically closed. it would then be the perfect trash can. Otherwise, no other complaints.

Would definitely recommend this diaper pail! I've had Munchkin diaper pails in the past and this one blocks out the smell equally as well with the added benefit of killing off extra germs.
