I bought these when my son was about 1 1/2 and he loved it. It made to where I did not have to watch him constantly to see if he was making a mess. He had and still has control of how much he can get out of it. He is now almost 2 and still uses it. Sometimes he can get the lid off and make a mess. But more often he just carries it and makes no mess. If you are on the fence about getting it just go ahead and do it. You will not regret it. :)

My daughter instantly knew how to take the snacks out of there at around 8 months. And we love too as it doesn´t let the snacks come out.

She can still make a little mess however it is minimum. I'm sure the older she gets the less mess she will make as she's around 15mths. They are easy to clean. Perhaps watching her try to shake stuff out and looking confused because her snacks just bounce around inside the container is the best part.
