I very much dislike the new personal fit connectors. I like to see my milk come out as I tend to get clogged ducts, so I am always watching my milk being expressed to ensure all ducts are working. I just had my 4th baby, I got the new freestyle pump. The new connected are not clear like the olds ones where the flanges meet the connector and I can no longer see my milk expressing! The connectors are not recliner proof. Bring back the old clear connectors for the freestyle please! The pump is good strength and cleaning is easy, but I would not recommend due to the connectors no longer being clear.

I’ve used this pump for 6 months and 3X daily since going back to work. Overall it has worked well for me, but lately I’ve been struggling with suction. I’ve replaced the connectors twice and am disappointed that you can’t purchase the yellow membranes separately. Medela- please make these available to purchase separately!

These have a horrible design flaw to where the parts don’t dry well between pumping sessions and cause mold/mildew. I pump every 4 hours. The pets soak for an hour in hot, soapy water and then I scrub and rinse them. They then dry on a dry rack. By the end of the day this is what happens. Mold/mildew buildup that my brush cannot get into the tiny little cracks of the part good enough to keep cleaned.

I wish I could give these connectors a five star review, but having to buy a whole new set of replacement parts in order to get new membranes (which do wear out) when the hard plastic parts are still in perfect condition is terrible. Are the connectors at least recyclable? You can buy Sonata membranes separately, so I just don’t understand why the membranes for this pump are not sold separately. It seems like it is an underhanded way to make more money by making us buy a complete set of connectors when we only need to replace membranes.

This was the only pump available to me through my health insurance and it it absolutely terrible. The suction is awful and milk is constantly spilling from under the flange. It is ridiculous that the yellow membranes are not available to purchase separately and looking though reviews this seems to have been a complaint for many months. I’ve had no issues with supply but am not getting good output with this pump at all.

I have bought my freestyle pump in January and I already have to replace the connectors, and now they aren’t working again when instead of just getting the membranes I have to purchase the whole connectors, it’s very expensive and disappointing how they don’t sale the membranes only.
I've had this pump for 7 months. I can not afford to keep buying connectors just to replace the membranes. I have seen a significant decrease in output because of the wear on them and its just not s budget friendly pump. And I've been reading the responses for the last two months that you are working on packaging for the membranes and to keep an eye out.. still haven't seen them sold separately. So st this point I feel it's jsut being said to appease and not lose customers. But what else can I do? I work and need to pump. My supply shouldn't tank because I ca t continue buying a whole set of connectors when I need new membranes.

I have gone through two sets of these which are not cheap to just replace. The plastic that holds the hinge has snapped, which with that broken it doesn’t hold the membrane in place and you cannot get good suction to pump. Being an exclusive pumping mom this is really crucial for me because I rely on pumping for milk. The medela is really not made for an exclusive pumping mom I have realized. So unfortunately now I will have to buy another set because I am pumping 8 times a day if not more.
