Medela® PersonalFit Flex™ Large Breast Shield (Set of 2)

Why does Medela not offer smaller flange sizes than 21mm ? I purchased a Freestyle Flex and it's a great pump but my flange size is incorrect and leading to pain ... Because of the special design of the pump and the flanges ... You cannot even find other brands of flanges that work with this pump ..... What gives Medela ?? Looking for smaller flange sizes please.

I got these because of their claim of more milk while pumping with these. they did not do that but I actually got less with these. they do not suction well and they leak . Do not recommend

I bought two of these shields and they are all horrible. At first, I thought they are better than the full plastic ones that came with the breast pump. Nope. After a couple of uses, they all started to lose suction. I seriously thought that my milk supply drastically plunged and got really stressed out. Turns out, my supply is fine. It’s just these shields don’t suction. On top of that, they leak from the bottom. I threw away the boxes so I can’t even return. Do not buy.

I like the fit of the flanges but they are way too short for the pump in style max flow in pushes your nipples into Membrane. I wish the smaller size flange was the same size length as the 24 mm size flange. Hate that I wasted my money.

I love these breast shields. They fit very comfortably. The only issue I'd say is, the white silicone/rubber trimming catches a lot of lint from my pumping bra. I have to be diligent to make sure I don't get any lint in the bottle. But it does hold in place on my breast pretty well. I did buy 2 pairs because I very much liked the effectiveness and comfort.

I have the pump parts for the symphony they let you use in the hospital and use it as a manual pump to make sure breasts are empty after feeds. They feel great. Fit great. And sometimes I just have to move it the tiniest bit to the left right up or down and the slightest adjustments find the little pockets where more milk is hiding. Make sure you’re massaging while pumping! It really really helps output.

I have three set of flanges. Two sets are the original flanges and one set is the flex. This means I don't use the flex all the time as I rotate them. However, when the baby was about a month old, the silicone already started to disconnect from the flange and it has only gotten worst. No difference in quantity of milk pumped or how I felt during pump between the original and flex flanges. Don't waste your money.

Buy silicone if you need a new flange! Aka not this
