Bought the 21mm shields a month ago and they are working great. 21mm anything is hard to find in the stores.

I just wanted to write this to reiterate the need for smaller shields! It's a real thing! I've tried multiple off brand shields but none of which fit the Freestyle and it's so frustrating! I think this problem is a LOT more prominent than realized... please, please, please make smaller shields asap! I would love to continue using my Medela pump but clearly that's not going to happen until smaller shields are offered

The amount of money i have spent to still sit back and find that expressing isn't how it should be. We need smaller breast shields yet it still hasn't happened. Not only are you letting down mothers your letting down our partners who would like to feed our babies! Just disappointing i am l looking into another brand to help me.

Currently the 21mm is the smallest size we carry and it is best to meet with a Lactation Consultant to see what will work best for you. I'm going to add to all the people saying you need to make smaller sizes. Upon purchasing the 21 mm (which did not come with the original pump, so thank you for eating my money), I found that my areola was STILL pulled into the shaft of the breast shield, and the part that was pulled in of my right nipple turned white--not good. Um, some of these reviews were made quite a while ago. How long does it take to make a breast shield with a smaller diameter? I will be purchasing a different brand of pump with my next child if this issue is not addressed.

Great set but even the smallest 21mm breast shield is too large and half the areola is sucked in. As other users we're looking forward to a size smaller I'm the near future!

Bruised my nipple. I have literally all sizes of guards and have had no success pumping. My son is gaining weight exclusively breastfeeding, thank God. The larger shields won’t pull milk and then every other smaller size just leaves me sore, bruised and hurting.

These work but regrettably I can only use the 21mm. I could really use a 19mm but there are not any that small.

I have been using the 30mm with the medela freestyle connectors and they fit fine, but this is not the case when I got the 36mm. It is not compatible with the same connectors! Did I get a defective product ?
