Medela® Small/Medium Maternity Support Belt

I have had so much pain almost my entire pregnancy and at about 29 weeks it got so bad I decided to buy a support belt. This belt is completely useless! It is super hard to put on without help and the moment it is in place the back rolls into a bunch. It offers zero support and actually causes more discomfort because of the bunched back. I have tried several times to wear it because I really wanted it to help but it is not worth the money. It may work great for some women but it was a complete waste of money for me

I was given this maternity belt around my 24 week mark. Before my pregnancy I was always in the gym and pretty active. I thought I knew what soreness was, but pregnancy has opened a whole new meaning to it. The baby weight I had gained over the last 24 weeks was heavy and putting extra pressure on my hips, legs and lower back. I had trouble sleeping, walking and sitting for long periods of time. After only wearing the maternity support belt for only 5 minutes I felt a huge difference in my stance. The great feature about this belt is the flexibility it has to adjust with me throughout the day. It has two Velcro attachments that allow me to tighten and loosen up as my day goes on. The belt is true to size and I am able to grow into the belt.

When worn correctly the belt puts more pressure on my bladder and hurts when I sit down, causes my baby to kick extra around the band as if she's being constricted and trying to find more space. It also rolls up on both my front and my back. I have a support belt from another company that is thicker but essentially designed like this, but worn the other direction - with the Velcro on the back and a pouch area in the front to support your belly, so I tried this orientation and it is much more comfortable and supportive even though it is "wrong"

I bought this support belt when I was experiencing lower back pain and it helps provide support to alleviate the pressure. Only thing is that the sizes are a lil off the small/medium was too small and the large/xlarge was a lil too big wish it had an adjustable size option. Other than that would recommend

Offered no support and did not stay in place. Just a thin piece of fabric that does not fit properly. As you move around and bend over the band just folds over. Spend the money on a real support band.

So far, so good, Bought this for my daughter at her obstetricians suggestion. Support has eased her lower back pain tremendously.

In theory this is a great product but it's not well executed in this particular one. The inside edge dug into my skin, became itchy, irritated and left a mark after 20 minutes of use. I tried wearing it over clothes but it still dug in through the layers.

I am expecting sometime late next month. I've tried three different maternity belts: the Medela (this one), one I cannot name because doing so would require me naming a competing website, and the Prenatal Cradle. The Prenatal Cradle was by far the best, the Medela by far the worst, with the unnamed one falling somewhere in-between.
