Medela® 1.3 oz. Purelan™ Lanolin Breast Cream

Purelan is the perfect cure for soreness that comes with the early days of breastfeeding. I love that this is natural and doesn’t have to be washed off before baby feeds!

I was given this lanolin cream to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. When I started using this cream, I was nursing then weaning my toddler (with sore cracked nipples), pregnant with my fourth child, and trying to soothe my little ones diaper rash. I’ll start with what wasn’t my favourite about it. I found, like is common with many nipple creams, that it was a bit tough to apply. I mean you use it the same way as any typical cream, but because of the texture, it pulls a bit at the skin as you try and smooth it out. This can be painful depending on the skins condition. Also, after many uses, it didn’t seem to “solve” any issues we were having. But… positive thoughts… once applied, it was very soothing to both myself and my little one (who would often bring it to me and say “bum!”). When your skin is burning or sore, knowing you have a product that is both CLEAN and PURE and will help you feel soothed and comforted…. Is such a big deal when you are a tired momma just wanting you or your little one to be more comfortable. Worth buying for those really tough times before you can see a Dr.

We welcomed our sweet third baby this year and I was lucky to be gifted the Purelan through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Even with a posterior and anterior tongue tie that was revised at 2 weeks old I was able to avoid cracked and chaffed nipples thanks to the Purelan. Highly recommend this lanolin cream!

I received this cream as part of the Steller Panel review and This cream has been a life saver since having my baby. It is easy to apply, very moisturizing and helped eliminate itchiness. We try to us very natural products in our home & with our kids so this product was a great fit. I will continue to use this throughout breastfeeding as needed & would definitely recommend it to anyone with itchiness, soreness, or dryness.

First, I must mention I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. With my second child born in May, we started out breast feeding journey, which has been rocky to say the least. We ended up needing to pump and bottle in addition to breastfeeding, which you know meant havoc on my nipples. Purelan helped prevent chapping and was useful both to lubricate for pumping and to help me recover following breastfeeding. There was no obvious odor and didn’t impact my baby. Application was easy, and so was cleaning up. A definite need for anyone pumping or breastfeeding.

Being a breastfeed mom is already hard enough as is, then you throw in sore, cracked, painful nipples and boy does it make life extra rough. I received this product through Stellar Product Testing Panel, and I am so glad I did. I started using it during pregnancy and continued on after I had my baby. What a difference between my first and second child! Using this cream made things so much easier and pain free! The bonus was putting it on my lips made them so soft and supple! What a treat :) I will be repurchasing once I finish my tube!

I love this better than the other popular brand I used earlier. So light yet effective and doesn’t smear everywhere an get sticky. I absolutely love it

We received this product as part of a stellar review panel and my wife was very excited to try it out. The cream itself was easy to apply, it has a thick consistency which helps with application and keeping it in place during the summer heat. Although her one complaint was that the cream could be a little thinner, just her personal preference. My wife was very happy with the results after use, less pain/cracking/chaffing will make anyone happy! She had no negative effects with latching, our baby did not seem to mind the Purelan one bit. Overall happy and recommend this product to anyone dealing with pain from breast feeding. If you're like us you have enough going on with a new baby and don't need to add nipple pain to that list!
