Mattel Barbie® Color Reveal™ Doll

Honestly the concept of it is fun; however, if you get the same doll 2, 3, 4 times in a raw it stops being fun! We gave one to a friend for her birthday and then my daughter got one ...she really really really wanted the one with black hair ...even though she understood that she might not and she said she'd be happy with whichever she'll get you know that deep inside her heart got a little broken when the reveal revealed a different doll ...and it was the same one her friend ended up with ...the reveal process was fun even for me ...but I wish there was a way as a buyer (a secret clue on the package) to know which doll you're spending your hard earned money on. Most of these reviews here are marked as "received a free product" so these people don't have to buy the doll and don't understand the frustration of spending money and getting the same thing over and over ...after all how many same Barbies can one have?? For most it's a one time purchase I guess. Also, the doll is very basic. I wish the Barbie's joints were bendable and she came with more accessories other than a skimpy skirt and a brush. Maybe like a color changing pet??

Bought this for my daughter. She was so excited to find out which doll she got but was very disappointed that barbie’s feet were already broken brand new from the container.

She absolutely loved opening each bag to see each accessory and finding out which doll she received. It was a very cool surprise when you placed the doll into water to reveal under the silver on her

I love the Color Reveal Barbies. I’ve collected them all since I discovered them. My only issue with this most recent Party Series is that the earrings have that spike that’s supposed to make them difficult/impossible to remove. Well, that makes them very hard to put in. I bent one of the earrings trying to put it in and I’m an adult! How is a 3-9 year old supposed to get this earring in? Also, I love that this series has real hair. My only suggestion there would be to put it in some kind of hairnet or something to make it easier to keep the hair out of the water.

The colors are pretty and I like that it's easy to reveal the color in the warm water. It would be wise to have adult supervision when doing the color reveal. There are a variety of dolls that have different accessories and clothing to put on them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My girls love to revealing all the different accessories that comes with the barbie, especially just seeing what kind of barbie it is, is a surprise. Its not messy at all. My girls enjoy playing with the different accessories changing the hair and outfit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Barbie is very cool and it is a complete surprise which one you get. It is very messy but the 8 year old loved it! She was a little bummed that the makeup didn't change very much with warm or cold water, but it has been well loved in our house!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this doll for a few weeks and I still haven't been able to convince my 4 year old to give her a "bath" - she loves the silver paint. She named the doll Astrid, I guess she looks a bit from outerspace with the metalic paint on her middle body and legs. This doll was not completely covered in paint and had attached hair. She does use cold water to change her face makeup and hair streak. The doll came with some earrings, shoes, a skirt and a brush.
