Very stylish and sturdy.

If, like me, you’re looking to turn a comfy nook into a cozy work from home setup, this is the perfect desk for the job. I searched far and wide and landed on the Marmalade—a desk made for a kid but fit for a king (or queen!). This is a sturdy, solid desk and doesn’t wobble. The drawers, while not super tall, fit pens, pencils, paper clips, staples, several notebooks and post-it note pads just fine. And, to top it all off, I put it together by myself in about 20 minutes (though it would’ve taken me even less time and been easier to maneuver with a second set of hands). Can’t beat the value here.

Well, the desk itself would look great except the product I received was severely damaged. First, the box it came in was pretty tattered and a little moist. Upon opening it, I noticed that a lot of the styrofoam packaging was already broken. The legs of the desk were the first thing I removed and something already looked off as it had some discoloration and the finish was rough in some spots. Once I got to the desk itself, I noticed there were some handprint smudges on the top. Then noticed the front/face of the left drawer was missing. In the box itself, there were some random loose screws, likely from the front/face of the left drawer. The right drawer was also damaged and only 2 of the 4 screws that hold the front/face was intact. the entire thing looked like it either had been used and returned or was the display model that was hastily taken apart and repackaged. This is extremely unfortunate timing as the start of the school year is less than a week away and my daughter doesn't have a desk to use while distance learning from home.

Order placed 8/15. Desk was supposed to arrive between 8/21 and 8/25. Today is 8/21 and Website still shows status as “Order processing”. I have no idea if this desk will actually ship. I have tried to get support from BBB and each time I try - wait is 5 plus hours. Determined today to wait it out and get support but very disappointed by this experience.

Arrived a week late and side was clearly dented and repaired and repainted.

Nicely made. Easy to setup. Drawers slide with ease.
