These sheets are very scratchy. I almost can't believe how not-soft they are. Not sure if I have a defective product or they're all like that?

I bought this product last month. I had noticed that after the first time it was washed, the entire set shrink. It became quit tight to fit on my double size mattress. Now that I washed for the second time, it does not fit anymore.

I was told to buy a lower thread count to obtain a crispier type sheet. I think these sheets are pretty but the texture is a little rough. Would not buy again.
