The material is not very soft. The towel is so thin you can see through it. The washcloths that come with it are nice but the hooded towel will be trash after 3 washes.

The towels and washcloths looked so cute it was hard to resist. I wish I had just because they are so thin, I can't imagine them lasting more than a few weeks. After washing the towel for the first time, I noticed a large hole. Not sure if it was there before the initial wash or not, but I followed all wash/dry instructions.
