I don't like how the lid won't stay, it's too lose and will fall off and hard to store the birds inside unless thoughtfully (by an adult) put inside. Cute idea just wish it was designed better. Could have the inside of the head area to use but they didn't make that available.

This gorgeous friendly Hippo is a great way to let young children explore colours.. first numbers and refine their hand to eye coordination and fine motor skills. Huey, along with his colourful bird friends are all very well made, and easy to grip with little hands. The birds are brightly coloured, and feature numbers on their sides.. prompting..' can you find the the red bird with the number 4 on it? '.. to help teach colour and number recognition. On the other side of the birds, it features shapes, to help with shape recognition. Place the birds in the hippo's back and give them a twist. I got this for my 4 year old who has some difficulties with his fine motor skills, and he absolutely loves it! The birds can be neatly stored inside the hippo's back for safe keeping whilst not in use. The whole set is very well made, and feels like it can withstand lots of use.
