KidCo® Door Knob Lock in Clear (Set of 2)

We ordered this door knob set because it looked like it would keep the grandkids from opening doors, while being a little more friendly on old arthritic hands than the ones that you have to pinch through the lock. They do a great job of keeping the young ones in!!. However, if you are thinking that you can just squeeze the little levers on the bottom and it will grip the door knob, you'll be disappointed. I'm finding that we still have to squeeze through the lock itself to grip the door knob. Overall though, for young parents, I say good product.

These are frankly designed in a way that makes opening doors easier. These seem great for people who are elderly and lack enough grip strength. One almost intuitively grabs at the levers and so did my 3 year old. She figured it out immediately.

I would recommend this product to anybody

My 2 year old figured this out in less than 2 days.

Not sure how this keeps kids from opening the door. An adult or a child will naturally grab the two levers on each side and the knob turns easily. I am sending it back.

It fits most Door knobs and it has been great, however my three year old figured it out pretty quick...onto the next.

I've only had these for 2 months and my 22 month old has already figured them out. Waste of money. Now i have to find another one that fits her door handle...

I was at the end of my rope trying different door knob covers. I was beginning to think I was just going to have to put a chain on the door, since the other covers would not fit on the front door. The childproofing kits are great, but if your door handle is just a little too big for the ones in the kit, this is the one you want to get. The peace of mind is priceless.
