the camera itself turns off after that it must be turned on manually so as not to lose the recording of what is happening. Image quality isn't worth the money

If your camera turns off randomly, here are the possible causes: - There is physical damage to the camera and/or cables. - The camera is turned off. Check the light status of your Nest Cam: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9268073 - The camera’s schedule could be the root cause: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9220484 - There is insufficient power to the camera. You can try plugging it into a different power outlet, or to plug another working device into the same power outlet the camera is currently connected to. As for the image quality, you can always adjust your camera’s video quality settings to have sharper and more detailed footage which uses more internet bandwidth. Here are the simple steps: - On the Nest app home screen, select your camera - In the upper right, tap Settings. - Tap Quality and bandwidth. - The leftmost option labeled Low uses the smallest amount of bandwidth. Bought it new, worked great for a few weeks and then the camera image went pink and it never worked correctly anymore. This is a known issue if you research these symptoms, Google did replace it, so that was nice.

Video quality issues can happen if your camera gets too hot or too cold, and can be avoided by these: - Make sure that your camera is not exposed to direct sunlight. - Avoid placing your camera near objects that can cause overheating like light bulbs, lamps, large equipment/appliances, air vents, etc. - Do not use indoor cameras outside, they are not designed for outdoor use and have an operating temperature range for indoor environments. - Your camera's video might also have a pink, blue or purple hue if there's a problem with the Night vision. Can’t connect assistant

After 1 trillion attempts, I give up…can’t get google assistant to connect to my two new indoor IQ’s. My older ones are no problem. Frustrating.

If you haven’t tried yet, follow these directions if you sign into the Nest app with your Google Account: - On the Nest app home screen, select your camera. - Tap Settings. - Tap your Nest Cam IQ Indoor. - Select Add Google Assistant. Follow the on-screen setup flow to enable the Google Assistant on your Nest product. If you don’t have a Google Assistant connection set up with Works With Nest (WWN), you’ll need to migrate your account to enable the Google Assistant on your Nest product. If you follow steps below to enable the Google Assistant, you’ll be prompted to migrate your account. If you’ve set up a Google Assistant connection with Works With Nest, you don’t have to migrate your account to enable the Google Assistant on your Nest product. Instead, you may need to update your existing Google Assistant permissions for your Nest product before enabling the Google Assistant: - On the Nest app home screen, tap Settings, select Works With Nest. - Tap Google Assistant. Review the new permissions and tap Allow. Then, continue. What one would expect. Quality is stunning. You plug it in follow the configuration steps and it just works. Its integration with Google Home it is definitely a plus. More than happy with it and I totally recommend it.

We have other Google Nest products and all I had to do to set this up was plug it in and scan a QR code. So simple. Camera has a wide view so my whole living room (approx. 12' x20') fits in view. This also has a great clear picture. Worth every penny in my opinion. Although I did find them on sale! :p
