This thermometer with a full degree lower than the other thermometer I have to compare it to. It was incorrect because the baby was not that cold. This is really important to be accurate especially the first weeks of a newborns life 2 stars because shape is great for Rectal temps but really 1 star because in accurate

I feel this is much more accurate than the forehead thermometers. At first I was worried a rectal thermometer would be too much of a hassle but it is super quick and easy to use.

Easy to use, accurate, reads temp quickly.

I have multiple of these, they read lower by at least 1 degree Fahrenheit to every other thermometer we own.

The tip is flexible and just the right size so I don’t accidentally hurt my baby. The display is big and backlit so I can see the number even in the middle of the night. This thermometer is so very inaccurate, that when I called the advice nurse about my daughter's 96 degree temperature, they suggested that we go into the ER. The advice nurse said she really didn't want to send her in since this was during covid, but was concerned. anyway, the temperature taken in the ER was normal and I asked them if I could try my thermometer in order to see if I was using it correctly; it still read 96 something. I purchased the thermometer at Buy Buy Baby, so it shouldn't be a knock off thermometer, if that's even a thing.. I wasn't too upset until I received a nice $300-something ER bill. So thanks for that...

It’s easy to use and I like that it can’t go in too far. The first few times I used it, it seemed very accurate. However, the last couple times it’s measured at 97.6 degrees once and then 98.6 within the next minute. I’m not sure if it’s because there’s poo up in there? I’ve only had it for about a week so the fact it already seems inaccurate. Luckily ordered backup which I’ll use to compare.
