Fridababy® 2-in-1 Portable Sound Machine and Nightlight

I received the Frida Baby Portable Sound Machine from my baby registry so by the time it stoped working it was too late to return. Thankfully Frida Baby's customers service was able to help me try to figure out what was going on and with no solution they replaced the iteam and the shipping was very fast! Overall I like it, I do wish it had a lullaby since it is for babies. Machine: light and portable ✓ Volume: Has a nice amount ✓ Size : ✓ Night light: ✓

We use it quite regularly and at first the battery held for a few days now it dies very quickly even after a full charge. The buttons are extremely hard to see especially in a dark baby room.

I bought this today and will be returning tomorrow I can’t even use it for tonight I can barely hear it, and it doesn’ drown any noise out.

I’ve only used this a handful of times and it is already not working even when plugged in. Pretty disappointing.

This is the greatest little sound machine! It has a long battery life and is great to tote around in the stroller, car, from the nursery to living room and everywhere in between. But WHY CANT YOU SEE THE BUTTONS?!? All of the controls are the same color as the body of the machine (or the strap when it’s closed), and given I’m often using this thing in the dark it makes it really difficult to use the controls. Everything else about this is perfect but big thumbs down on design.

I bought this machine about 2-3 months ago and was loving it and now it has stopped working :( my daughter loved this so much to help her sleep but now it won’t turn back on.

Good luck finding whatever button you need to do anything on this in the dark. It’s even hard to see the buttons in broad daylight. They’re the same color as the plastic body, probably for some stupid “aesthetic” reasons. Literally, and I mean literally, impossible to discern between power/volume/timer/sound type unless you can read braille. Whoever designed this thing has clearly never cared for a newborn baby. I write this review in anger at 2:00am after multiple nights of fumbling in the dark for five minutes straight trying to turn the thing on. Will be going in the trash.

Sure, the sound part works great. But the negatives outweigh the positives here. When this machine is low on battery, guess what? There is a little blue light that intensely blinks like a STROBE light, illuminating the whole room!!! It has woken up my baby many times! And guess what, there is no warning that the blue blinking light frenzy is about to start! And guess what else? When you start to charge it, the blue light will still blink (albeit more slowly) to indicate it's charging. We resorted to having it constantly plugged in, but the blue charging light will still occasionally turn on. It's unavoidable. We had to try to smother the light under a t-shirt, but it still shines through. Also, the buttons are invisible in the dark and they all feel the same. You have to memorize where each one is. Like I said, who designed this?? I'm guessing it was designed for daytime use only. The icing on the cake is that just today, after 5 months of use, now none of the buttons are working. It is stuck with the sound on. We can't turn it off, nor will the volume change. I guess it short circuited. We tossed it in the basement to die.
