Fisher-Price® Soothing Motions™ Bassinet in Windmill

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bassinet is a lifesaver! It’s absolutely a must have for your bedroom! It does not take up a lot of room. I absolutely love the little shelf under the bassinet. It’s perfect store diapers, wipes, and clothes! My daughter loves the mobile and the music it plays. I love how the bassinet vibrates! It soothed my daughter to sleep every night! It’s definitely a must have! I highly recommend it!

We bought it for our first baby mostly because we thought the vibration feature is a life saver. We end up not using that feature at all. It was easy to assemble and move around the house and he seemed comfortable in it. The only thing that I would change was that I preferred if we could wash the sides (it was fixed and too hard to disassembled and assemble again) but I guess it is first time parents overprotectiveness speaking! Anyway, now that baby is in his crib, we still do put the melody box on the crib to help him sleep and he loves the songs and the nature sound. We are satisfied with it but depending on the baby sleeping habits, cheaper options with no vibration feature could work as well.

Added this bassinet to our registry after a good friend (mom) recommended it. Our baby completely hated it. He would not sleep more than 45-60 mins while laying in it. The mattress is super flimsy and plasticky. The bassinet does not seem comfortable at all. I would not recommend. Our baby since has been transferred to his crib and has been sleeping so much better. The bassinet was definitely the problem.

Motion does not work like I imagined it would before purchase but the music and stars are a great feature love the bassinet I’m able to store things on the bottom also light so easy to move back and fourth from my room to living room. Takes C batteries

My baby will not sleep in this bassinet. I think the mattress is too noisy which wakes her up when she moves and it rocks back an forth so she often times startles herself awake. I am also 5’2 and I have trouble placing her in it without waking her. We’ve been trying to make it work for 3 months now!

The mattress has begun to lose its shape. It now has folks that stick up and poke my daughters head. The body and design of the bassinet, otherwise, is fantastic. However, the masters is the most important part and it is not functional.

We are very happy with our bassinet. I did a ton of research before and saw this had great reviews and was much more reasonably priced than similar options. It is safe (flat), and the battery operated options (vibrating, music) turn off so you don't drain the batteries. I do wish there was a setting to leave vibrate on a bit longer. We don't use the music because we prefer white noise. It's also pretty transportable. We used it for a four-night trip and were able to break it down to bring it along.

My baby didn’t like it. It also wasn’t easy getting the baby out of it in the middle of the night even beside my bed after I had a c section. It was painful because I still had to stand or work very hard to lift her out of it at night. I don’t think she found it comfortable. You can’t see out of the netting as pictured and I believe she wanted to be able to see more than the ceiling and sides.
