The light sensor is not sensitive enough to tell when room lights are on. It only turns off in extremely bright conditions.

It doesn't the job at night, but during they day they flicker on and off rapidly at times.

I was excited to get these nightlights because they are automatic, LED and a simple design that “goes away”. The light provides a well lit level of brightness, however I am disappointed that they do not shut off unless there is a very bright light directly hitting the sensor. Thus the light is on for a majority of the day wasting energy.

These put off such a dim light that you literally could see nothing with them plugged in. We bought a couple of these and have never been able to use them. They were worthless.
