Returned it because of the poor construction. The pouring spout was so poorly constructed that trying to put it together with poor instructions it broke. It was never used s can not tell how if it preformed.

This is so poorly made made mine started falling apart almost immediately . Cheap plastic clips break and don't hold the body together. Inside float rises off to the side of contact point to let it know there is water inside. I had to duct tape the contact down to get it to work! Was supposed to include anti bacteria treatment in packaging, mine was missing. Had to be ordered with new wicks cause they got moldy very quickly. Cost 50 bucks! Save your money and buy another brand! These Are terrible !!! A real "piece"

The Essick AIRCARE in general is a fine product but it has its flaws also. The pros are it was easy to set up and the functions are very self explanatory. Now the flaws are trying to fill the unit with water. This model is a low floor base unit meaning you have to be on your hands and knees to fill the unit. The fill gauge is inside where the water is emptied and you have to fill SLOWLEY or the water will splash outside the units ends. The fill gauge is directly where the water enters and operates as a float. The trouble is the float will not react as fast as the water is poured in. The design was not thought out well but the unit will perform quite well.

Worked okay a little surprised at output, unit claims to be for 2500 sq. ft. but I am unable to get my 1200 sq. ft. apartment past 40% humidity. The unit stopped working after 1 week, lights up but doesn't run. I purposely bought this unit because of the 2 year warranty and that it is American made, but did not expect to have to use warranty after only one week. Now the hassle of repackaging and returning to get another, not happy.

I ordered the first one on line, it arrived damaged. The box it arrived in is not designed to be a shipping container. There was no extra protection or double box, just the cardboard it would be in if it were on a shelf. I returned it to my local Bed, Bath and Beyond and was greatly surprised by the customer service. The manager re-ordered it for me and it arrived a few days later in good condition, although FedEx poked two large holes in the box that luckily missed the humidifier and they patched the holes with tape. The product itself is very nice with digital controls that are very responsive to touch. The 3.5 gallon reservoir is much appreciated as we go through 2.5 gallon each day. Another feature is that when the water level gets low it goes into an idle stage, still blowing air but not at the selected rate until it is refilled. The fill light comes on at about 2.5 gallons of consumption leaving about 1 gallon in reserve. I really like the fact that the air intakes are on the sides and the output of moist air goes out the top. The front fill door is nice, but I have found that if you have the door open fully to add water it splashes out on the floor. The best way to remedy this is to leave the door open about one inch and pore slowly down the tray so the water runs directly down the shoot into the fill hole. The float for the water level is difficult to judge with the water fill line but I have had no issues with it. Bottom line is that it is a nice product and I would recommend it.

Humidty level in my 2 year olds room was 28 percent this unit brought up the humidty to 55 Very fast! also waiting to see how it will work with geting the rest of house to a normal humidty. Highly recommed for the price especially when using a store coupon.

I bought this to replace one that we had had for years and was very pleased when we received it. Love being able to put the settings on what works for us. Loved it so much I got one for my son and his wife and daughter.
