Dreambaby® Indoor/Outdoor Retractable Gate in White

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Dreambaby retractable indoor/outdoor security gate was very easy to install. It opens and closes with ease and keeps the animals and kids where they should be and out of where they shouldn't be.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I put this gate in my half bath since it doesn't have a door. It works great at keeping my kids out of my bathroom. I think this gate is great for a room that doesn't need accessed that often. The gate pulls tightly across, so there is no way a child could go over or under it. However, I would not use it for a dog because a dog could easily tear it up. A puppy could crawl under it because there is a gap between the floor and the gate. It is kind of difficult for me to get used to opening this gate. If I retract the gate too fast, it will get messed up at the bottom of the roll. If my hand stops for just a second while closing the gate, I have to start over because that locks the gate. I don't like that I need both hands to open it. If my hands are full I have to set everything down to open it. My five-year-old hasn't figured out how to open it yet. I think that there are too many steps for him to figure out. My husband installed it. It took him about 15 minutes without any issues. It includes two sets of wall mounts so that the gate can be moved in different spots easily.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, I give props for a cool new sleek design. The concept is there, the execution is not. Pros: -it has a maximum width of 60" so can fit wider than standard doorways or hallways. -it has all the mounting hardware included to be able to put it up quickly. -when mounted and functional, it's easy to use, even for younger kids. Cons- -the directions are very cryptic, confusing, and don't depict the pieces clearly enough to know which piece goes with the other. -the mounting hardware is plastic and feels like it would break if handled too roughly. -the "gate' part of the security gate is not rigid. It feels like thick plastic and flexes with not much pressure; my cats and dogs were able to slip under with ease. I would NOT trust this gate to keep an adventurous child out of anything, including and especially stairs... which is kind of the point of a gate, right?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This retractable indoor/outdoor security gate is perfect for our first floor stairs that lead to the second floor! My two oldest children have no issues retracting the gate to go upstairs. This gate provides peace of mind, knowing my infant cannot crawl up the stairs. Even though this retractable gate is in place, I still keep an eye on my youngest. This gate is also perfect if you have pets, specifically dogs. Sometimes we don’t want the dogs upstairs, on the beds. Especially if their paws might be muddy and we don’t catch it in time. I really like how this gate attaches to the wall on both sides. When my husband and I tried using a regular baby gate, our bigger dog kept knocking it over. Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to put this gate at my sons doorway so he cannot leave his room and go downstairs in the middle of the night. It requires drilling into the wall or trim. So we had to drill holes into the doorway which I was hesitant about. But I believe it was worth doing. The retractable feature is great, very compact while the gate is not in use. The door cannot be opened with one hand easily. It more so requires two hands. Overall, I am excited about the product and it is perfect for what we needed.

It was super easy to install and it is super easy and convenient to use. I love that it’s retractable so you don’t have to take it up and down everytime. It seems a little flimsy but I think it should last a decent amount of time.

The quality of the product is amazing, i had used another security gate in past for my pet before but that so very difficult to use. Since it is something that i use to atleast 5-10 times a day, i would prefer to spend few extra money to have good quality gate. I used it inside at staircase but it can also be used outside. I loved the grey color, very subtle and elegant. Loved the product and would recommend to anyone who is looking for good quality security gate for pets or infant.
