Dreambaby® Broadway Extra Wide Gro-Gate® in Charcoal

It was a little tricky to install since the directions were pretty vague, but we figured it out!! We chose to mount above our baseboard so our kitties are free to roam. For easy swing and baseboard mounting you have to unscrew the eye-loops. This was the only part we really had to figure out on our own after we didn’t think it was swinging correctly.

This gate is impossible to install. Instructions make it seem like it can be mounted on a baseboard, but then there is no way to adjust for the top mounting mechanism. For my purpose it can not be mounted about the baseboard because it would leave a large gap between the floor and bottom of gate. Returning this product.

All the bad reviews are true! This is the worst gate ever. I paid for a professional to install it and he took 4 hours and still installed it incorrectly. Assembly is a nightmare. Once it was up it's way too heavy and loud to lift up two inches while holding a baby. It woke up the baby on the way up to her room. It doesn't open fully so you get stuck trying to go around it. Worst yet, after paying someone to install it, only to have to take it back down, BBB wouldn't process a return. How am I supposed to trust buying another gate from BBB if they won't take this one back after this ordeal?

It tore my wall up, the anchors didn’t help it stay in the wall at all. You have to lift the whole entire gate up to open it. The very first time I “tried” to open it, it pulled all the way out of my wall!!!! It was also very complicated to install. I have 3 kids & I’ve used A LOT of baby gates. How are you supposed to use two hands to open a gate if you’re holding the toddler? DO NOT BUY THIS GATE!

This gate took forever to mount to wall. It is almost impossible to get level and line up to opposite side. The huge downfall is having to lift the entire gate almost two inches every time to lock or unlock!!!

I bought this gate before, good futures, will recommend to everyone, specially if you have stares.

It is a very sturdy construction in terms of the gate itself. However, they use a lot of plastic parts to anchor and connect the gateway. The instructions were not clear on the mounting. I suggest you walk thru the operation of the gate especially how the mechanism locks and unlocks. The gate is metal construction and is quite heavy. For some individuals, it may a little difficult to lift up (about 3 inches) and maneuver it thru the latch.

Biggest disappointment is the gate only opens at about a 45 degree angel. It also takes two hands to open and close. It is a two person job to set up and I hope one of you is very handy.
