Dream On Me Universal Convertible Crib Toddler Guard Rail

Disappointed that this did not work with the toddler bed we had converted from a crib. Had to return it.

I got this to transform my child crib to a toddler bed. This is what my crib manufacturer directions stated I had to use. I found it the cheapest on BuyBuy Baby in the color I needed. It shipped fast and came as described. It attaches on one side essentially and has some movement to it. My child crawls on and stands on it sometimes and it doesn’t seem super sturdy. It’s also not very tall or wide so it only goes maybe halfway across. She also sticks her fingers in a small area with a hole or depression in it. I think it will keep her from rolling out of bed completely but otherwise I still feel the need to put a bumper or something in there to reach the full length of the crib.

I really loved this navy color but the rail shipped to me was chipped and so much wood exposed. I saw the bad reviews and decided to take a chance. Don’t do it. You will probably get mine that I returned.

The other parent (Nina) who put one star review, needs to check what she did wrong in her set up. Her picture clearly shows the bed is not in the last screws to the bottom (made for a growing child, like a toddler!!) The rail does its job and is high enough if bed is in the lowest position. So that's a false review of the product, and more correct on the parents misinformation. The only con i have about the rail is i wish it was a few inches longer. My child loves to sleep all over the place so sometimes i worry about her falling off... But at least not too far down. Pro: this crib is 5 years old lasted through 3 moves and I'm certain the rail is just as reliable.

When we switched our daughters bed to a toddler bed, this railing gave me peace of mind because she had already fallen out of her bed twice w/out it. I do think it's expensive for such a small piece.
