I bought two of these seats with high expectations and it failed. The clips feel cheap and although the frame is super solid I don’t trust the clips. The latch system is very hard to use, because it’s impossible to tighten so good luck having this properly installed so it doesn’t move side to side. The harness is constant getting tangled and the angle for forward facing is awkward. My toddler needs to scoot alll the way back in order for me to buckle him in, and even then he says don’t pinch me because the buckle is too close to the crotch area. Yes it comes with the padded buckle thing but it’s removable and because it’s so far back it’s hard to use with the pad us your kid is wearing pants. As for rear seating that bar is ok but sometimes the baby puts her feet behind it. In a crash it could hurt her feet. It looks super duper in the pictures but the fabric is cheap and most of the padding only applies to the newborn/baby stage. If your kid is older than 9M it’ just gets less and less padded. This seat is also very tall so to do rear facing you will need to move your seat foward to the point where it’s ridiculous. No I don’t recommend this purchase. But I will say they are narrow seats and you can definitely fit three in a row.

We purchased this for our twins. We loved it at first. However, when it came time to change to forward facing, the steel connector for the back tether broke. My husband tugged it and it will not go back in. We read and watch information videos on how the steel part in the back can come off but is supposed to snap back in. This is the only thing holding the back of the car seat to the vehicle seat and it pops out! How is this supposed to keep our kids safe in the event of a car accident if the one thing that is supposed to keep it in place pops out! Horrible design and I fear for other families that have purchased this car seat.

A few friends were happy with this convertible and quite honestly this car seat was incredibly difficult to install. To the point that we returned it. And now waiting very long for the company to reimburse us. I wish I had known beforehand…

The car seat is heavy (but if you’re shopping for a convertible you’re not looking light) heavy duty. I love it! I’ve bought two and although they are pricey l see it as an investment. I won’t need to buy another because my kiddo won’t grow out of it and it pretty much lasts til their 10. Feels safe, looks great, and you can fit 3 side by side. Perfect.

Diono is THE brand to get if you have or plan to have multiple children in your car because you can fit 3 across. We have one child 1(3 mo) and are pregnant with our second. Twins run in our family so we went with Diono when we needed to switch from our infant seat, just in case. Plus, we like the flexibility of being able to fit another car seat or passenger in the car. We bought 3 - one for my car, my husband's car, and my parents since they regularly watch my son. In retrospect, we probably could've gotten away with two or even one, but it is a bit awkward to lift and switch into another car to reinstall. Let me start with the good, there is a roll bar and it is highly rated for safety, which gives me confidence in our son's safety, as does the side impact piece, although I'm not sure why there aren't two since it's recommended children are placed in the center seat. The neck support can adjust low enough for our 13-month old. It is a skinny (but deep) car seat. Installation is pretty easy. I am 5'4" and have a car, not an SUV,and it does fit in the back center seat without issue and I could likely move my seat back a bit more, although not much. When it was directly behind me I actually had to move up my seat a bit in order for it to fit. We've had it for about a month now (backward facing) and the biggest challenge we've seen is it's difficult to tighten to where it should be (only 2 fingers should fit under the seatbelt). If you have ever tightened a horse cinch, it feels a lot like this. Also, please note the release button is hidden under fabric...probably so older kids don't have easy access, however, it concerns us if there was an emergency, would first responders know how to get our child out? I also recommend using the shoulder pads, which make the seat harder to tighten, but protect from seatbelt burn and getting seatbelt marks on our son's neck, so it's a tradeoff. Some other "good to knows": The cup holder doesn't lock-in, so our inquisitive son pulls it out every time we use it. Our son does prefer this car seat over his infant seat, so it has eliminated most of the fights to get him buckled in for car rides, which is a win! All in all, if you are planning to have 3 kids across in your car a Diono Radian 3QXT is the right choice, just be ready to muscle it tight and spend a bit of time finding the hidden release button. Fingers crossed they improve on this in future iterations.

This car seat is very well made. It’s on the heavier side and definitely awkward to maneuver. (With the infant attachment) It’s simple to use though! If you are planning on having this seat rear facing and you have only a second row vehicle, be prepared for yourself or your passenger to be eating their knees! It’s so long that rear facing you have to put the front seat up a lot. I’m 5’3 and I just barely have enough room to be comfortably uncomfortable during a trip. As for the comfort, it’s very cozy. However because it’s so cozy with all the infant inserts the waist buckle can be a struggle to latch. It’s wide for an infant.

We purchased this car seat for our little on to put in my husband's vehicle after he did extensive research about what car seat he wanted. We have not been able to test the car seat with out little guy yet but the product was shipped super fast, better/faster than Amazon. The most disappointing reveal once we received it was that I purchased the blue car seat and received the gray one. I was ready to send it back but my husband didn't want to go through the hassle. When you pay this much for a car seat, or any product, you expect to at least get the color you paid for. He put the car seat together and was pleased with it. There is plenty of padding or cushion for the little one to keep him secure. My husband was very surprised when I told him that the baby could already go into the car seat as an infant. Once the car is good to go and carvseat installed. I will give an update, if possible, to my review.

Originally, I was going to give this seat a 3 star review due to the limited room left for the driver/front passenger. After more research, I figured out that I would get the angle adjuster and give it another try. Boooooy, did it make a difference. The front seat now has great room while giving the car seat a sturdier feel. I loved the car seat due to its great build quality. I am one that hates rattles and this seat does not rattle at all while my daughter is not in the car. It has a premium feel and seems like it will last the intended 10 years. Only wish the angle adjuster was included in the purchase, but oh well...
