Delta Children Universal 2-Shelf Bookcase in Grey

Very cute little shelf and sturdy but I am so disturbed by how much the furniture from Delta Children smells. I honestly can't believe this is green gold certified. We bought the Delta Children toddler bed and this shelf for my kid's room and both were so stinky we had to let them air out for weeks. No way I would let my kids sleep in the same room. I even let the bookshelf air out in the garage a week before my husband built it, carrying out each piece daily to lay them out in the sun. It helped but not enough to completely get rid of the smell. I don't know if standards have slipped (or changed?) in the last few years but I have had green gold certified pieces from other companies that have not off-gassed like this. I don't think it's worth compromising your child's health so unfortunately I do not recommend this piece.

This book shelf is beautiful but it's making my daughter's room smell awful. As soon as you walk into the room you can smell it strongly. I was hoping it would get better after a few days but it's been a week and it's terrible. I finally moved it into a larger room and may return it.

Should have listened to the other reviews mentioning the odor. There’s no doubt it’s a beautiful bookcase but am very concerned at having it in a newborns room with the strong chemical smell that hasn’t gone away after 3+ months.

I bought this bookshelf for my guest bedroom and it is sturdy and looks great. Just what I was looking for and I had been looking for a while.

Do not buy this bookshelf!!! Even after a week of leaving it out in the sun, it reeks of fumes and my nursery still smells awful from the few hours I had it in there. I don’t understand how anyone could ever keep this in their home?! Returning it ASAP

This bookcase is the perfect size for a baby's/toddler's room, without looking overly cutesy or juvenile. It fits storage bins great, and is the perfect height for little ones to access. BUT THE THING SMELLS LIKE CHEMICALS EVEN AFTER 6 WEEKS OF AIRING IT OUT!!! I would have paid double for this bookcase if it had been Greenguard certified. BUY SOMETHING ELSE unless you want chemical off-gassing in your little one's room. BUY GREENGUARD CERTIFIED!

I love this well made little book case. It is sturdy and the perfect addition.

We got this bookshelf for my daughter's playroom and it is the perfect size. It is sturdy and blends in well with all of my other furniture. Super easy to put together as well!
