The style of this collection is very nice. Our daughter and her husband love it so they got the crib and the six-drawer dresser. We are visiting and helping them prepare the nursery. My husband offered to help put the crib and dresser together. Well, he opened the box today. It is a box full of pieces. Many pieces. He’s very handy and this is certainly not his first time putting furniture together so he thought it would take him about an hour to do. In reality, it is going to take him at least an hour just to empty the box and organize all the pieces. Our advice? Save yourself the aggravation and drive to a furniture store, buy a dresser, and have it delivered, complete and in one piece. If we had our way, we’d make the two hour drive to Lancaster and pick up an Amish-made crib and dresser and be done with it. It would take less time and be worth every single penny.

Bought this dresser via Buy Buy Baby to match the convertible crib. First of all, the colour and finish is very lovely and elegant, we got it in Espresso, and it makes for a great looking nursery. That’s where the functionality ends, however. The quality leaves much to be desired. The wood dents and dings easily with the most minor use. It takes forever to assemble but once it was together, the drawers don’t stay on the tracks. When they do, they stick, making putting away laundry a particularly onerous task. The most peculiar thing here is the drawers are 7 inches shallower than the dresser unit, meaning there’s a 7 inch gap between the back of the drawer and the back of the dresser. You can store a lot of baby clothes in a space that large. I understand anti-tip design and all, but having simple anti-tip gliders and larger drawers would be a better and more sustainable design choice. It’s a shame, but invest your money elsewhere.

I loved the design of this dresser, however, the quality of this item is terrible! After only 1 year of using this item, one of the front pieces of the drawer came right off! You are better off paying more for a quality piece of furniture that will last a long time.

It arrived w/out any damages. It was a pain to have to put together but my husband did it in 1 day. It is a decent height if you are tall (I stand 5'9" and hubby is over 6'). Draws are sturdy but they don't pull out all the way. Overall, we are happy.

I was putting clothes away and went to get up and hit my head on the ledge piece on top that sticks out. I've been recovering from a concussion for 7 months. It's cute and all, but not worth the pain and suffering I have experienced the last 7 months.

The dresser was delivered without the hardware pack and the knobs. We have been unable to build the dresser and have had the pieces laying on the floor in our nursery for 5 weeks now. I have used BuyBuyBaby Customer Service through the chat functionality, email, and phone and still have yet to have this resolved. When I spoke with the representative, they said that others have reported this same issue and that their cases were still open as well. I cannot complete my nursery due to missing parts and no one seems to be able to respond to my inquiries about getting the replacement hardware and knobs sent to me. For the price of this dresser this has been a horrible experience and working with BuyBuy Baby Customer Service has been awful as well.

This dress is excellent! Nursery furniture has such a wide range of pricing, but the DaVinci Kalani line is JUST RIGHT. The quality is great, the instructions and assembly were simple. I had read other reviews of issues with this, but we had no problems at all. All the pieces fit in the right spots and we were able to do it in a timely manner. If I had to say anything negative, it would be that the wood does seem to scratch easily, but no pieces came scratched. While assembling we had dinged a piece and a scratch did show up but we were able to get it out with a little wax. Advice would be to just keep all parts separated with the material it is packed in until you are ready to use to prevent this from happening. I would highly recommend this product along with the DaVinci Kalani Crib to anyone!!
