Can’t recommend this car seat enough! When my daughter grew out Of her chicco infant car seat, I decided to upgrade to this one and am so happy I did! My daughter is super comfortable in this car seat and it is sturdy and was really easy to install.
So recently I had to size up my son’s car seat from his infant Chicco fit2. I did a ton of research and decided to buy two different seats. This one I purchased for my car which is barely driven. For my primary vehicle I purchased the Chicco nextfit zip air. I use the nextfit most frequently and every time I have to use the fit4 I strongly consider just switching them out because it drives me crazy. If you’re undecided between the two here’s what you should know about the fit4. The only positive is it a convertible seat so it lasts for a long time and is therefore a good value. However, is a pain to install unless you’re using the latch system. Due to the multiple layers it is very difficult to feed the seatbelt through and successfully keep it tight. With the nextfit the zip feature allows easy access to the belt path. The fit4 is also made with material that doesn’t feel quite as premium as the nextfit. But the biggest pain to me is the straps. They do not slide smoothly into a snug position like the nextfit. But the worst is getting them loosened. The button to loosen is positioned UNDER a layer of fabric, with a hole that doesn’t actually line up and due to the angle is very hard to push. I break a fingernail very time I do it. Huge difference to the nextfit which is super easy to tighten and loosen. I will say both seats are heavy and bulky, which to me is fine because I feel they are more secure. Overall if you’re looking to save money and still have the great Chicco brand then this seat may be for you. If you don’t want to curse in front of your child in the blazing summer sun while you wrestle with this seat, you may want to go with the nextfit zip air.

I put my chicco onefit in the bag and the zipper on one side was broken when I went to zip it up. There's no padding on the bag either. Would not recommend.
Easy to install, multi position as the baby grows. So far looks like it could last.
Very disappointed by my last purchase of this Fit4 4-in-1 Convertible car seat, very poor quality in the assembly with the foam material, it broke very quickly about two months after buying it, and very angry about the poor quality due to the price you pay for the product is not worth buying. I have always bought Chicco products since my first child 13 years ago.

The styrofoam on this car seat is complete garbage. After one time of removing the fabric because my child threw up all over it the head rest came off. Since then it’s come off all the time even when it is just sitting in the car. We have tried everything to try & get it to stick back on but NOTHING works. The foam is starting to break & for a car seat to last what is suppose to be a long time, only lasted a year & 1/2. Complete waste of money please DO NOT BUY IT.

This bag is durable, of very good quality material, and the wheels glide nicely through the airport and over pavement getting to and from the airport. We have a Graco extend 2 fit car seat and it fit very nicely in the bag. It does take two people to get the seat in the first couple of times because it’s a snug fit, but it’s manageable. I was able to pack a few extra things in the car seat in the bag to lighten our checked bags too which was a bonus.

As many others I am seeing, the foam headrest completely broke apart. A car seat that cost almost $400 so it will last till my daughter no longer needed a seat in the car. She’s only two and now I have to go out and buy another car seat. All I can think is how lucky we have been to not be in an accident with her in a clearly unsafe car seat!

I’ve been using this car seat for our 2 year old since he was about 7 months and outgrew the KeyFit system. I love this car seat. Unfortunately it is bulky for rear facing - it didn’t fit comfortably (for a front seat passenger) in my husband’s Mazda6 but it is just fine in my Honda Accord and our RAV4, so a large sedan or SUV is preferable, most likely. This seat is super easy to install securely and also easy to get our son in and out of and he seems super comfy in it. Unfortunately we just experienced the issue w the foam headrest randomly becoming unglued/detached. I was able to track down the receipt and Chicco had a brand new seat at my house 48 hours after I reached out to them! Because of this amazing customer service, we just ordered the MyFit Zip seat for my husband’s car to replace a functional but cumbersome seat from a competing brand.
