My family and I were recently in an accident where a van ran a red light at approximately 40-50 mph and hit us on the driver side front of our car. Airbags deployed. The only thing my children did was cry from being scared. There were no injuries to either my 4 yr old daughter (in a Chicco brand car seat) or my 2 year old son who was in the Chicco Fit2 infant/toddler car seat. I’m very pleased with how they held up in the accident and the ease of use as well as security knowing it was a tight fitting car seat base. We had had the car seat since we brought my son home from birth. I would recommend it to anyone! Safe, reliable, easy to install, compatibility with strollers and comfortable!
First, I want to say that we are big fans of Chicco. Aside from the Fit2, we also have a Caddy and recently bought a Keyfit 30 Zip. We wanted to love the Fit2 since it accommodates a higher weight limit and has great build and quality. We were so excited to use it at the beginning. However, the more we used the Fit2, the more we noticed our son looking uncomfortable in it and his back is often unsupported . After trial and error, we realized that it was due to the changing position of the headrest. After moving the headrest position up as our son grew, this caused the back portion of the carseat to become uneven. This is because the headrest and back support are 1 piece. When the adjustable headrest is in the lower position, the back support is a solid piece with no breaks in between. When the adjustable headrest is in an upper position, a part of the back support is moved up with the headrest. The problem when that back support is moved, this leaves a piece of padding that is "caved in" relative to the back support that moved away. This caved in back support is deeper into the carseat than the back support that moved up, creating a spine position that is not neutral. After sitting for only a few minutes, he starts scrunching his body in discomfort. We want to love this carseat because the quality of materials and everything else about it is awesome. If only it had an adjustable headrest that only moves the headrest itself and not the attached back support. Because of this, I can't recommend this carseat.

I bought this before my baby was born and I’m hesitant to part with it because he’s about to outgrow it and I love it so much. Definitely worth the money!

The quality of this car seat is excellent and soooo very easy to use with the other Chicco stroller systems. The base for the car seat is a breeze to put in. I liked everything so much that when I purchase a seat system for my daughter, I bought one too!

This car seat was worth every dollar! We bought along with the Chicco KeyFit Caddy Frame Stroller (also great!). We got to use this car seat up until our son was 9 months, 25 pounds and just a little over 2 feet. Although it is a infant car seat we got to adjust it so he could be comfortable using it longer because he is a big boy. Satisfied with the safety, style, and the quality. Washed once and was easy to take on and off watching the video. Would defiantly recommend and buy again! :) We upgraded to another Chicco but this time a convertible car seat - NextFit iX Zip.

I’m still awaiting my bundle of joy but after 2 other children I can honestly say that this system was the easiest to install in my car and feel confident in my future babies safety. Ordering was extremely easy and shipping was way earlier than estimated. Would 10/10 recommend this seat and order again from BB&B!!

With this being our 6th Chicco infant carrier 6 kids same car seat different colors and styles it is by far the easier ones to install! This car seat held our smallest 5lb baby excited to use it in toddler mode!

I love this carseat. I do wish you can order infant seat position replacement though. Im not a dan of after market items.. however the seat has gone through 2 babys about to be 3. Its very versatile you can pretty much use it, in any stroller with the correct adapter. Babes always look comfortable, and all my babes have so far been car babes specially in this seat. The only thing you need to be prepared for is its heavy. 20lb seat with a toddler in one arm and your 20lb but 40lb with carseat babe. You get some arms of steal after a good year of use.
