I bought this gate for a tricky bottom of the stairs installation that required an angle mount. My previous gate (Kidco) had plastic latches but it was the metal bars that ended up breaking after a year of use. This gate has a much smoother operation. Make sure to follow the instructions! An extra set of hands is helpful. Will update this review after a year of use.
