BRITAX® B-Free™ & B-Safe® Gen2™ FlexFit Plus Single Travel System in Midnight

As a first time registering for gifts, I saw the part of this travel system. I always knew Britax was a good name for having great infant car seats. But I wish I got a different stroller. I also have to say that long term, the canopy has discolored and every crease. I don’t know what causes this. I’m going on baby #2 now and having regrets about this purchase!

First off, We had to have the car seat replaced because it got jammed in the base. After we got a new one, the straps are constantly getting stuck and twisted and caught up in the back of the car seat. Almost every time we put our son in, we have to take him back out, take the car seat off the base, untangle the straps in the back, and put him back in. Not easy to do with one hand. It’s a constant battle. Do not recommend the car seat! But we love the stroller!!!

Very strong frame and rubber wheels. Was able to put together in under 5 minutes. Stylish and rides really smooth. I really like how it has many pockets in different areas of the stroller. It has two mesh pockets on either side of child's seat so toddler can tuck away their water bottle, snacks etc.. For the parent it has a convinient storage area just bellow the handle bar. Two large open pockets that actually can fit a couple of water bottles and baby bottles.  I would not try having an open cup since it is not an actual cup tray. It also has a large zipper pocket to stash your phone, wallet, diaper whatever you like to bring with you. The storage basket under the seat is very spacious, it too has two little zipper pockets! Stroller seat reclines almost flat. Nice for those longer strolls. Stroller comes with two attachments for its infant carseat. They are easy to pop on/off and can be left attached without it interfering with the closing of the stroller. Baby looks nice and snug in the infant carseat! The super cool part of the infant seat is the super easy harness adjustment!!! Has six levels for the height . A button in the back helps adjust it moving it up and down without needing to re-thread the harness in infant seat. The base has the LATCH attachments, makes it super easy to install in your car. Excellent travel system that will grow with baby !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This travel system, which I received as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, is a great fit for both my 2.5-year-old and my 6-week-old. I regret not having had it when my first child was an infant. The car seat/carrier is so easy to snap into the stroller and allows me to move my newborn without having to wake her up by taking her out; and when the car seat is in the base in the car, my toddler likes to go for rides in the stroller. The base feels more secure with the anti-rebound bar, but the car seat is compatible with other Britax bases, and I was happy that there is an adapter for my running stroller as well. The B-Free stroller is much, much lighter than my running stroller, which is really important for me when I need to load and unload it in my car because I had a c-section this time. The stroller fits in the trunk of my car with plenty of room to spare and it is very easy to fold and unfold with one hand. The storage in the stroller is surprisingly roomy. I can fit a full packed diaper bag, or a half a toddler (trust me) in the storage basket beneath the seat. The storage pouches near the handlebars hold more than I expected too. There isn't a cup holder if you need a space for lattes (and I believe you can buy a stroller organizer separately) but a water bottle will fit right in. The handlebars are easy to adjust, and my toddler loves that he can reach them on the lower settings and help me push his baby sister! The stroller handles really well because of its 3-wheel configuration, and it a lot easier to steer than my umbrella stroller. The ride isn't quite as smooth as a running stroller, but it doesn't have to be because I'm not taking it off road, and the trade off for decreased weight and extra storage capacity is more than worth it. I'm so happy with this travel system. My only complaint is that it doesn't come in a double. Please make it happen, Britax!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Britax B-Free and B-Safe Gen2 FlexFit Plus Travel System is a system that strives to be a travel system to meet all your needs from birth through preschool. However, I found that in trying to do it all, it fell short of working well. Having a newborn and 2-year-old, I tested this product as part of the Stellar Parent Panel. The carseat: the carseat is heavy duty. It's made of durable materials which makes it very safe but also makes the carseat difficult to carry. It's much heavier than other carseats that are designed to be removed from the car. I found this to be bulky for a newborn. The weight is more in line with the type of carseat that stays in the car permanently,  but is designed more for an infant. My toddler was very large in this carseat and didn't fit well. It's an odd design as it's made to do all for both ages but is shaped more for newborn but too heavy to maneuver newborn in the seat outside of the car. If you just want to pop the seat into the stroller, then no problem. The carseat base: the base is amazing. It is very easy install and remove. Much easier than other car seats. It's also heavy, but this is no problem since it stays in the car. The stroller: I absolutely love the stroller. I wish I could write separate reviews. The stroller glides so well and is easy to manuever. It has amazing sun coverage. When the car seat is used rear-facing, the baby can be completely covered from the sun and even has some mesh netting to keep cool and see baby. While there aren't obvious cup holder, there are several storage pockets that are deep and can be used to hold cups, keys, phones, etc. There also is ample storage underneath (we bring a backpack which fits). It easily collapses to fit in the trunk for outings and easily connects with the car seat. For toddler, the seat can be adjusted to seat a toddler in a reclined postion. It wasn't the most comfortable (I couldn't pull the straps to be completely upright) for toddlers. I also wish it would have had a cupholder and snack bar as my toddler brings a beverage on all of our outings. In terms of storage, it easily collapses but doesn't stand upright. If you are keeping it in your trunk, it will work well, otherwise you will have to carefully lean it against the wall. The Maunuals: The manual for stroller and the installation were the best and easiest I've ever seen. Very easy to understand, and I put it together in 5 minutes. The carseat manual was not well organized, and I had some difficulty in finding what I needed in this manual.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son hated his previous car seat. This one he loves as it has more padding so it’s a lot more comfy for him. It is so easy to connect and disconnect from the base and to the stroller. It works great in our other vehicle without the base as well. My favorite part of the car seat is how easy it is to adjust the 5 point harness. The stroller is wonderful, it turns so easily and has plenty of storage. My son will definitely be able to use it far into toddler years. Cons on car seat is that it doesn’t work in the top of a shopping cart and it’s super heavy. Cons of the stroller is there are no cup holders or tray for when your child is a toddler. However you can buy the attachments but I know it’s already expensive to buy this system and then to throw more money at it for attachments is ridiculous. I installed the base and the car seat into my car with no problem. I used the base but I haven’t tried using it without the base. Though i love the grooves that allow the seat belt to go through without a base! The stroller rolls so smooth! The stroller folds down easy. Everything about this travel system I love! The storage is amazing! The Bottom of the stroller opens up with just a quick lift and it’s so easy to grab anything from under the stroller! I can not say enough good things about this car seat and stroller combo. I had my 4 year old sit in the stroller and he fits so I definitely willl use this for years to come with my 4 month old. My favorite feature of this travel system is how easy it is to use it from a car seat to a stroller. It’s super easy to use the stroller with or with out the car seat. My baby loves being able to look up and peek at me when he is in the stroller! I have already been telling all of my new mom friends about it. It has a sleek black design and its definitely gender neutral.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don’t think I’ve been this excited about a stroller and car seat system. The quality is amazing and I feel so safe with my babies in it. The car seat is so cozy and I love all the extra padding. The safety features are amazing. The rebound bar makes me feel even more at ease with my baby in this seat in our car. I love the stroller as well. It was easy to put together and easy to switch from the car seat to toddler seat, which is helpful with my two children. When the car seat is on the stroller, it does feel a bit heavy but it definitely rides smooth and the one hand close makes it so easy to use. So far I’ve used it around town, getting in and out of my car a lot and I’ve used it for light jogs on cement.
