BOB Gear® Alterrain Jogging Stroller in Melange Grey

Extremely disappointed in the quality of this stroller. Either through poor manufacturing processes or poor design, the primary frame of this stroller contains inside of it bits of metal, debris, or hardware that rattle around and cannot be removed. Upon unboxing the stroller the first time, I immediately noticed this when picking it up and turning it over as all of the pieces inside the frame rattled to the lowest point of the stroller. Flip the stroller over and hear the rattle of dozens of pieces clanging to the other side. I inspected the frame to see if there was an access point that I could remove all of the pieces or see if hardware had come loose, but the end caps and other frame components are riveted in place and cannot be removed. I sent it back thinking this particular stroller was defective. After waiting for my returned strolled to be received and a new stroller to be sent, I unboxed the second stroller. Exact same thing! At this point, I called buybuyBaby's customer support, who offered to try to have the stroller shipped directly from BOB Gear, in case the strollers in their warehouse were from a defective lot. Unfortunately, our order was cancelled, and after jumping through more hoops, we got another stroller sent to us after returning the second one. Third time's the charm? Nope! Same problem. These strollers are clearly poorly manufactured and it's very disappointing that this is the case, considering the Alterrain is not a cheap or low-end stroller. I could have paid have the price for a stroller of better quality. 2 stars instead of 1, because you can run with the stroller without the wheels falling off (surprisingly, based on the quality of manufacturing).

Great jogger but EXTREMELY difficult to collapse compared to Nuna.

I love this stroller. It’s just perfect and all we need from a stroller.

My household has logged over 300 miles with this stroller and couldn't be happier. We mostly walk - you don't have to be a jogger to get good use out of a jogging stroller! It glides like a dream and is easily maneuverable with one hand. I don't miss any of the features of the "pro" version, but I could see how more adventurous types would benefit from the upgrades. I considered other jogging strollers but landed on this one because the seat position seemed a little more upright for my toddler. He seems comfortable and enjoys the visibility. For trips requiring the car, we usually use another (less bulky) stroller. If I had to do it all over again (and wasn't considering future double-stroller options), I would get a smaller/lightweight stroller (infant compatible) for car/errand use, and this sporty gem for fun around the neighborhood.

My wife and I have owned three models of BOB strollers over the last ten years. Two have been single versions and one has been a duallie. We have always enjoyed our BOB strollers for their versatility, they have accompanied us on numerous adventures, and we have always highly recommend them to other parents. However, the latest version we have owned (Alterrain Jogging Stroller) has been a disappointment in a major way. Changing the way the strollers are folded and stored was a big flaw. The strollers used to fold down way more compact than they do with the new system. I honestly believe my old duallie folded smaller than my current single. Furthermore, the way the stroller is held together with the rubber clip causes much frustration when unfolding. Often, the strap is stuck or the front wheel does not release causing the user to try and unfold the front wheel (because it is impossible to see from the other end whether the front end has released) only to realize it is stuck. This has resulted in numerous scratches to the front plastic piece of the stroller. I have honestly been so happy with all of my BOB strollers until now. Once the new Alterrain is open and ready to use, it is the same performance I have come to expect from the BOB brand, but it is a dreaded chore to store the stroller. Please fix this issue for future BOB stroller users!

I just got this stroller for Xmas and love it! My only complaint.....why would you not make a snack tray that attaches to this particular stroller?!?! You make one for the other BOBs, why not this one?

I am very happy with this stroller. It is extremely well made and looks like it an handle any terrain. The canopy is nice and I am very happy with the fabrics. The stroller is very big, so be prepared for that. The only negative is that the shocks are a bit hard, meaning it takes more strain for them to absorb impact. It is good for heavier kids, but it will be a bit stiff for smaller babies. Also, it did not come with a pump, so separate purchase.

This stroller is everything i could ever imagine! i live in an area where pushing a stroller on gravel and uneven pavement is a daily occurrence and the BOB stroller was highly recommended by several mothers i spoke too. They were not wrong! I'm 8 weeks away from welcoming my first baby and i'm so excited to get it into this! It's easy to put together. It's easy to fold and unfold. I love the big basket underneath. The wheels are smooth. I just need to get the Maxi Cosi attachment for car seat and i'm set! 10/10 would recommend to a friend.
