American Red Cross Deluxe Health and Grooming Kit

The thermometer caused an unnecessary ER visit!! It gave me two false readings when I used it for my newborn; 99.4 axillary and 100.3 rectal. We took our newborn to the hospital because of these readings just to discover his temp was only 98.4. I haven’t used any of the other items yet, but the thermometer should definitely be avoided!!

When I had my children I needed these items and never had them, had to go and look for them, one item in one place and one in another. It’s wonderful to find them as a kit, everything you might at the tip of your fingers. Easy to use when you have a child who has a cold and temperature, no messes, no problems with measuring medicine, , cleaning a congested nose taking temperature. My daughter in law was impressed when she received it.

The nails clippers were hard to use at first but then I removed the plastic off the bottom and they are working better now.

I bought this being a first time mom, now I realize you don’t need everything in this kit. The nail clippers aren’t that great, hardly cut the nail. We use the thermometer, bulb and brush/comb.

This is a good thing to have since all of your needs are in one kit.

Definitely not something I would recommend to anyone. The thermometer only worked for a couple of days and then died. I haven’t had use for anything else yet, but I tried the brush and it’s nothing special.

Great kit with all the essentials. However everything seems cheaply made of poor quality. The thermometer is the absolute worse. Gave a VERY inaccurate reading and almost made me have an unnecessary trip to the emergency room with my newborn. After using another brand thermometer and trying the American cross one on myself my pediatrician and I realized the faultiness of this thermometer and threw it away.
