I cannot fathom why the bottom of a baby/child hamper would be mesh but it is. I returned this. Unfortunately, the description of the hamper doesn't alert you to the fact that the bottom is mesh. Buyer beware

I bought one of these close to 4 years ago and the bottom was not mesh, it would stand up better, and was overall easier to use. I do not like the mesh bottom as our hamper sits on carpet and I do not want messes from the dirty laundry getting onto my carpet. Will be returning.
My grandson loves "helping" put his clothes away
I think it is a super practical and (cheap) way to keep your baby's clothing separate. I don't know if you can wash it, so that's my only reason why I don't have 5 stars. I wash my other laundry bags so that it's always clean. Otherwise, it's super cute.
